Ok so, I just figured I would ask for stories since I experienced my first severe attack early this morning.
As far as I knew, I was only allergic to a few things. Three medicines, a couple of fruits and almonds. So yesterday at work my co-worker comments on a red bubble on my wrist. I wear "Till they come home" bracelets on my wrists for my cousins who are currently serving, and have worn then for almost 10 years now. Sometimes they pinch the skin and leave a little mark. No biggie.
I come home from work, go to sleep, wake up about 3:30 in the morning and my face, neck and hands were on fire and my tongue was swelling up. I was rushed to the ER, got some fluids and an Epi pen and some other breathing treatments and was sent home on my way with tons of meds. Yay me.
Well here is the thing. When the doc was running down this list of things I may have or could have eaten or come into contact with, absolutely NONE of it was out of my routine. I am a creature of habit and do not stray, and that includes what I eat on a daily basis. And the couple of times I have come into contact with almonds, all that happened was my tongue swelled up. Never anything like the picture you will see below.
So who knows what I am allergic to, have to go see an allergist. Was scary having a hard time breathing and I still cannot see out of my left eye too well because of the swelling, but I guess this post was to rant about today, and see what others are allergic to and their reactions to it.

I'm allergic to any kind of toothpaste with extra stuff like whitening, sensitive bullshyt, etc. Basically I can only use Colgate Total (the regular one). Also, I'm allergic to any kind of flavored chapstick. I can only use the plain one. What sucks is that these weren't lifelong allergies. They started when I was around 22. Oh well. it.

I'm sorry to hear about that, OP. Hope you feel better soon.
As for me, allergic to all forms of natural grass and pollens, as well as animal fur (hence why I've never had pets)

I'm highly allergic to nuts, and I'm also allergic to legumes. I actually have to carry an EpiPen with me everywhere due to the nut allergy, but luckily have never had to use it.

I have an allergy to something but not even the doctor could figure it out, it happened back in December and I had all hives all over my body and went to the hospital and they gave me tablets.
Hasn't happened since.

Dude ...that's horrible. Maybe you got bit by something where that mark was under your bracelet?
I get allergies in the fall but I'm not aware of anything else I'm allergic to at the moment.

I had one fairly bad allergic reaction to an antibiotic. Most of my torso developed a mild rash so I ceased the treatment and the doc had me take some Benadryl.. cleared up in a couple days.
