With the exception of WrestleMania XXX, most pre-show matches are lackluster in terms of build and could easily be matches on RAW or SmackDown.
With the WWE wanting to showcase the future of the company in NXT, why not have the Pre-Show match be between NXT talent? Whether it's an NXT title match, or a hot feud going on in NXT at the time (example: Cesaro/Zayn or Zayn/Graves). Even a six-man tag with various talents. Again, something to give these guys/gals an opportunity to compete in front of a larger crowd... before being called up to the main roster.
Obviously guys like Mojo, English, etc. wouldn't be in these spots as they aren't the focal point if NXT at the moment. More so for the likes of Zayn, Neville, Rose, Bo, Breeze, Ascension, Graves, Charlotte, Emma, etc.
... thoughts?

I think someone proposed this idea a few months ago.
I like it.

I back this. For those who dont/can't watch NxT it's great exposure. And a way to get the talent in front of larger crowds to help them get used to it.

I do like the idea but say you have a guy like Adam Rose or Bo Dallas... They have had vignette's building these guys up. Those vignettes generally lead to a debut on RAW. If you put them on the pre-show before they make their debut, it kinda makes them seem less important.
I guess I'm kinda mixed on it. I do like the idea a lot, but I could also see some arguments against it.

Again, wouldn't waste the spot on a guy that's usually "jobbing" on NXT weekly, but rather the guys who have made names for themselves in developmental. We'll use Extreme Rules as an example: Corey Graves vs. Sami Zayn would be perfect for a grudge match on the Pre-Show. Building up the feud on NXT weekly, advertising it for the Pre-Show that can also only be seen on the WWE Network. In my opinion, it hypes the match more and opens people's eyes to NXT, that aren't subscribed to the Network. Pushes the Network, pushes the future... to me, it's a win/win.

I like the idea, but at the same time like some people said, it would make someone's debut to the main roster pointless or matter less if they do preshows to a PPV. Dark matches, that's fine cause it's no televised. There's a reason why NXT is development and not a TV show like it was back in season 4. NXT is basically the minor leagues of WWE and the guys are there to groom them to make it to the major league, meaning the main roster. I don't see the WWE putting people from the minor league on a PPV preshow. That's just my opinion, I like the idea because guys like Sami Zayn, The Ascension could be introduced to a larger crowd, but it's best to leave NXT the way it is now. There's no need to make it bigger than it is. The best thing for NXT in my opinion is to do live specials every 2-3 months like they're doing with the NXT Takeover Special in March, have the major feuds/title matches take place at the live special.
