My cousin put this video up on Youtube about a friend he has, and darn it just really made me feel bad for the guy. I met him once when I visited my cousin and he really is a nice guy, a little odd but nice. Sad to hear this happen to him. Thought I'd share it with you all.
Guess it just goes to show you that you can never underestimate anyone in this world. That girl sounds like a pretty mean b**** though if you ask me.

It sucks that he went out of business but the 'young lady' *don't know why he kept pointing that out* did offer him a job at her company. Now he has nothing.. Maybe he should set up in a different town or think about a different business.

It's sad when any business fails, but it seems to me that it was more his fault than hers. Yes, she had resources he didn't, but he never tried to change or offer anything she couldn't. End of the day, it seems like he's out of a job simply because he didn't want to work for someone younger than him. It was pride that ruined him, not someone else. I feel like he's simply trying to pass the blame.

Why did the OP make a point of saying the guy was a bit odd?
Either way, it is unfortunate but sadly this kind of stuff isn't that uncommon...

Why would he say that they should team up and then disrespect her when she offered him a job with her?
It sounds like how business works. If you can't adapt when competition shows up, the competition wins. It's pretty cutthroat.
It sucks for the guy, but I wouldn't say the girl was a bitch. Especially when he disrespected her first.

Business is a dog eat dog world, adapt or perish, believe in evolution!

The guy is an idiot. How is the girl a mean bitch? She offered him a job, he disrespectfully declined and then came back after having nothing, begging for a job. Girl is actually a pretty smart business-woman.

Sucks for him, but business is business... I myself have already been on both sides of the fence. When I started running shows in 2006, they were immediately the best indie wrestling shows in the state of Maine (which at the time wasn't hard to do). There were only 2 guys running indie shows in Maine when I started, one of them was Tony Atlas who had trained me. Needless to say, Tony was pissed when I started my own promotion rather than helping his out, and the other promoter who was just another unknown local guy like myself felt threatened because I had more money to back up my promotion and he wasn't expecting somebody else to pop up with shows. Anyways, a few years later the other guy contacted some promoters from other states that had more money behind their shows than I did and he brought them into Maine My promotion hasn't been on the top in probably 6 years now, but again, business is business

Yeah I don't feel sorry for him at all. Not only did she have more money, but she also seemed to be better at running and advertising her business. She made a sincere offer and he disrespected her. I would tell him to shove off too when he came back later. There are many ways he could have competed or branched out his business.

Not buying it. This sounds like an essay that an 8th grade teacher assigned.
But maybe if he washed the blood stains off of the costumes, he might've gotten more business?

Its unfortunate man, but for some reason I find it a bit of an odd story, I expected someone to die or something not to get run out of a birthday party business.

You can't get sad over business. There's always competition in the world. Look at wrestling; you have wwe and tna. Then you have smaller companies like Roh and czw. Obviously wwe is on top, but it's all about how you promote yourself. I don't feel that bad because they were offered an option to work with her, and she was disrespected. There's always competition in the world, so just suck it up and accept the facts; is my business successful or failing. If successful keep going. If failing call quits or try to work something out with your rival. So do I feel bad; a little but he was given a opportunity so not really. The way he disrespected her was obscure and uncalled for.

He should have torched her lock up where she kept her gear, if he'd done that day one, no more crap from her

business is competition; there will always be people with greater resources & better connections to blah blah blah
I don't see where he actually did anything to improve his chances of getting business...he just hoped past clients would remain loyal without giving them incentives to do so
I would not have been so friendly to someone that continuously wanted to show up at my house -- when they are a competing entrepreneur
