Has anyone heard anymore info regarding this animated Batman '66 film I keep hearing about? So far they've announced it. But I can't seem to find any other information regarding what could possibly be one of the greatest animated DC films ever Last I heard it was still happening. I hope so. DC's animated films are so good. I think making a Batman 66 animated film is very bold and I love that. I'd like to see them do something even more bold such as animate the scripts of Batman (or other characters) that never came to be. I just think it'd be neat to see something like Batman: Triumphant made into an animated movie just to see what it would have been like somewhat.

Personally I don't believe it for a second but just in case there's merit to it........
Everybody is all caught up in this theory that Letos Joker may have actually been Robin at one point. Its all sprang from the corresponding marks on Robins costume in the B vs S trailer and that are apparently on Letos Joker too.
I genuinely hope this isn't the case......I don't expect anybody to rigidly stick to the comics but I feel this would be a bad move by Snyder if its true and I really cant see DC signing off on it.....
I am interested as hell in seeing an official explanation for what happened to Robin though!! The suit with the graffiti was one of the trailer highlights for me.

Where was Robin in that trailer? I think I completely missed him.

Robin himself wasn't in the trailer, but a defaced Robin suit on display in the Batcave is. It's the suit that has been spray painted with green text (presumably from The Joker).

I actually re watched the trailer after I made that post and saw the suite briefly, will have to check out some of those screen shots comparing joker to robin.

There are shoulder holes in the Robin costume which apparently match wounds on Leto's Joker......I dearly hope this theory has no merit.

Yeah, its utter garbage; the marks on the costume are most likely divets from the actual costume. ts a stupid theory that people are just trying to push because they dont know enough about the source material. Hell, some people are still dead-set that this is a continuation of *shudder* Nolan's series

It definitely isn't, but even one of the biggest newspapers in Melbourne wrote an article about Affleck being cast in three more Batman films which are meant to continue the Nolan films, and then added a picture of the Arkham Origins Batman and said it was him. Some people just don't get it.

Hell, some people are still dead-set that this is a continuation of *shudder* Nolan's series Yes they do think that......and it confounds me daily. One of these "respected" comic movie news sites that reported this nonsense said that Leto being Joker was a great idea because........ and I quote Ledgers Joker(who could still be the original Joker) could be the one who tortured and corrupted him and just like in Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker....( ) Robin could then turn on him and kill him(or maybe Batman could) but in an incredible twist Robin carries on the legacy of Ledgers Joker by adopting the mantle. I rolled my eyes so hard when I read this that I think I strained something. Like you man I think they are divets like wahts present on the Arkham costume which CLEARLY inspired the robin costume here.

Zero percent chance Joker is Dick Grayson, Jason Todd or Tim Drake (or any other Robin!).

I also read people saying that they should make Leto's Joker Grayson to preserve Ledger's memory because he was the perfect Joker and no one will ever touch his portrale; so Leto can be a "fake" Joker, and not be classed as The Joker. Which is so ironic, atleast to me because Ledger's "Joker" really wasn't all that much like the Joker, BUT thats my opinion and I dont wanna start arguments with people here that lurv Nolan.

Nicholson remains my favourite onscreen Joker. I liked TDK and thought Ledger was great in it but I just don't worship it like some do. I remember a time on here you would be flayed for saying that. The sh*t I got in summer 2008 when I said I preferred Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk to TDK.....man oh man.

here's a pic of the Robin suit: from a story point .... Snyder and the writers said they took a lot of influence from The Dark Knight Returns, and in that story, Batman retired after the 2nd Robin, Jason Todd, was killed by the Joker. Bruce keeps the Robin costume on display in the Batcave as sort of a memorial. seems like that's obviously what we're seeing here, especially with Affleck's Batman being at least semi-retired when the movie starts. so I have no reason this is beyond Bruce displaying Jason's costume in the cave, as a reminder to why he gave it all up.

Now I absolutely LOVE that suit, I really really do and kinda hope we see some incarnation of Robin in this series or even Batman and Nightwing. I Love solo Batman films yeah, but Robin is such an important part of Batman, and with having Robin you can have a family dynamic between him, Batman and Alfred, you can have Batman be as dark as you like cause Robin is always gonna be the lighter one. Same goes for Nightwing, I so so hope we see him appear, such a great character and its about time they get his ass on-screen!!

I was delighted to see the fallen Robins costume on display.....because he does that in all the comics even in Batman Beyond. I always remember the image of the hammered Batman being flung into the glass case that contained Jason's costume by Bane during the closing pages of Knightfall. It was a powerful image.

Jon Schnepp says George Miller is likely directing Man of Steel 2... absolute home run if it's true.

Since I found Fury Road to be a very "so so" affair I wont get too excited to be honest.......WBs directorial choices have been good sauce so far except for the WW debacle so maybe Miller has blown their socks off with his presentation for the film. The memory of that SH*TE Justice League movie he was peddling a few years back looms large with me.....
