So -- how did Zayn become #1 Contender? Last I knew Balor earned that spot?

I hope Dana Brooke doesn't do a vanity search on Twitter anytime soon, brutal tweets about her debut. By no means am I going to say it was some amazing debut nor am I a huge fan of Dana Brooke, but I find the tweets and the NXT crowd to be hilarious. I would go as so far to say that the crowd BOTCHED their own "you cant wrestle" chants. HELLO!!!!! No crap, she cant wrestle. Dana Brooke is in NXT. You know....developmental. The place where people go to learn HOW to wrestle. You can have her bump on the mats, do squats, cardio, run the ropes, simulate matches, etc. only so much. An actual crowd, a hostile one at that, is the only TRUE test of where you are. She had 1 match in developmental. As much as we all love NXT and it has some of the most amazing athletes in the world, some of the best in pro wrestling.....its still a minor league tiny territory. Its on the WWE Network....not on USA. Its not meant to be consumed by the casual fan. Its also not meant for the snooty indy smart mark. Take the snooty attitude to ROH or Chikara, cuz a lot of those fans have become what they have always despised. This is a training center. In addition, every week this Full Sail NXT crowd is getting more and more like the Impact Zone crowd. STOP, STOP, STOP, STOP.....chanting This Is Awesome during every indy wrestler's match. Its rubbing off onto the NXT live crowds in Cleveland, as I cant speak to the others I was not there. Zayn/Rhyno was a solid match tonight. It was given proper time, told a traditional story, had some very cool spots. The end. It wasnt some masterpiece. This Is Awesome? This Is NOT Awesome!!! Neville/Balor.....that was awesome. Zayn/Cesaro......that was awesome. Either people have a pretty piss poor idea of what is awesome or they just chant it bc its "cool". I swear in Cleveland, I think 90% of the matches had this is awesome chants.....trust me, they were not awesome. They ranged from solid to very good.

Yes, for some, they are learning the WWE style. For others, they are learning period. Hell, some are there to rehab. Its a mix. And she clearly has been trained before just getting in the ring. They wouldnt allow her to go in there completely untrained and conduct an entire match like she had. Whether it was Balor good or Eva Marie bad.....she still went out there and performed.

While I can agree with some of what you say, if NXT isn't for casual fans or indy smart marks (which is wrong, the entirety of the show is one hundred percent geared towards the so called "smart" fan or they wouldn't be doing stuff like putting Itami and Balor together to debut Balor, or have Kevin Owens Vs Sami Zayn straight off the bat) then who is it geared towards? Triple H has said that NXT is geared very much towards their internet fans. Everything else though I think is pretty much spot on.

Dana Brooks' debut was okay I guess. I hate all the weird arm movements she made. Calm down and act normal please.. The only thing I really liked was that her finisher is cool.
She has a lot of work to do before she is ready but that is fine because she just got on the show.
The rest of the show was good although nothing really stood out.

Hmmm... Opener was solid for the most part, glad that Crowe is over big with the Full Sail crowd...splash on the leg then the Stretch Muffler? Fantastic...Parker wasn't too bad here either... All I noticed about Riley is his white-ass teeth. Way to go, bucko...challenge Owens again and instantly gets a match? He deserves a match against Owens again (title or not) why? Enzo and Cass were entertaining as always; match was nothing to write home about...interesting stuff with Carmella and BAM, slight tease of dissension post-match... I stated previously that I was not impressed with Dana Brooke but that was limited to vignettes...and then the 'debut' happened, against Blue Pants of all people...I don't expect her to wow me straight away; but this is based purely on a first impression, of which she can only do once... Christ! I was cringing more than Vince McMahon when he hears the word 'wrestling'; her posing and spin kick added to this feeling in a big way - and then she had the match, which was what I expected...kudos though to her for stealing Chris Chetti's 'Amityville Horror' finish... Zayn vs Rhyno was a solid matchup, and I agree with King Bálor (CM)™; a good, competitive match with nearfalls does not a 'This Is Awesome' chant make...good match regardless. Not a bad show, but not a great one.

Dana Brooke didn't impress me in the slightest. Her arm movements, flexing and rubbing herself looked uncomfortable and I don't find d her attractive at all.
They need to decide if she's going to be into herself because she's "hot" or into herself because she's got chick muscles. One or the other please because doing both is just awkward.
Anyway, good show as usual. The main event was fun mostly due to Rhyno's overselling with facial expressions. I was surprised Zayn won with the Heluva Kick but certainly deserved the victory.
Rhyno wearing that tiny NXT shirt makes me laugh also as it doesn't really cover up anything his singlet underneath wouldn't already be covering up.

It's like she doesn't know what she wants to be. It reminds me of when Cesaro would go from King of Swing jacket to robe to walking with his chest puffed out to doing the swing to not doing the swing to having crowd signs saying "Cesaro Section", etc.

Dare i say it but the past few weeks of NXT haven't been up to par with the standard that was set between R-Evolution and Rival.

Anyway, I feel like someone told Dana Brooke to "go out there and pose and flex. Just pretend to really be into yourself." Well, she did. Literally.

They need to decide if she's going to be into herself because she's "hot" or into herself because she's got chick muscles. One or the other please because doing both is just awkward. Those things don't have to b mutually exclusive. She can act like the hot chick with muscles. I think the issue is that she's incredibly green. Her movements are awkward when posing because she's trying to do everything at once and alternating oddly. Her punches were also awful. When she had her down and looked like she was doing forearm strikes, her hand was going behind Bates' head. I like the Somoan driver as her finisher and see potential, but I think they should have waited to put her on TV. As for the rest of the show: Crowe's debut match was solid. I can't wait to see who they put him against for his first real feud. I'm going to miss CJP. Good tag match. Enzo and Cass are always entertaining. Having three members of Shoot Nation debut with the gear in the last few weeks without any mention of the group is really odd, but hopefully something will come of all of this. Nice promo from A-Ry. Loved the main event.I've been a fan of Rhyno for the better part of 20 years and Sami's one of my favorites around today. Not the best match ever, but it was a lot of fun to see.

I will say partially for me because we've basically had Alex Riley as a stand in for Sami. Ugh. I'm a big Riley fan. If it wasnt for Cena, Riley would be BIG on Raw. He has what WWE and Vince are always looking for nowadays. Clean cut, good looking, muscular with size and definition, can cut a better promo than Cena.

They started out as typical awesome fans and then they realized they were "a part of something" and now they look for whatever they can to chant because "OMG we're an awesome crowd we gotta chant SOMETHING!". I hate it, it almost ruined PWG for me but those matches are amazing 75% of the time. For me NXT was tremendous show and always was but now the crowd is becoming a distraction.

He's nothing super fantastic in the ring. But he is a solid hand. He works a WWE style. Nothing too flashy or spectacular, but he sells well, hustles and is athletic. Was never trying to say that he is Balor good. As far as him bulking up....I do agree. But even before he got jacked, he was still in VERY good shape and well defined. I definitely have seen PWG. But the last show I saw was BOLA, as its not a regular viewing for me. I agree they do like to chant....but I cant recall an over used "this is awesome chant". I love a lively crowd. I love a crowd that cheers, boos, gets excited, chants, etc. I despise a crowd that clearly knows NOT what awesome is and chants it for everything.
