On July 12th, at the Madison Square Garden, Daniel Bryan will be against Triple H in a Street Fight match for the titles... Also, Cena will be against Bray Wyatt and Sheamus against Randy Orton (for the us title). What do you think?

So live event cards change like 100% of the time... This isn't until mid July.

There's no way he'll be cleared to wrestle by then. My guess is that the main event of MitB will be a ladder match for the titles.

It's fairly uncommon for titles to change hands at live events. It happens but not that often. From what I read, there is supposedly a feeling that Bryan might be ready to go by Payback.

Nope. When was the last time the WWE World title changed at a house show? Diesel/Backlund? So to reiterate, no.

I think what he meant was do you guys think Triple H will take the titles this Monday at Raw and feud with Bryan when he returns?
Anyways, I read that Bryan was advertised to defend the titles on this house show, so I would say not. But alot can change between now and then.

Last I heard was he might be ready to wrestle at Money in the Bank, and if he doesn't make it back for that, it'll be Battleground. But Payback is a week away. I haven't heard anything about him being ready yet to return.

I remember reading that he would be going in for a "Neck Procedure" and there was a feeling that it might be possible he could be back for Payback as they weren't sure if it was something really serious. I haven't really been keeping up with the reports since he went in but I can certainly see him being out longer.

It definitely wasn't rumoured anywhere credible before the surgery. Maybe you read it being rumoured by people on here or something, but pre-surgery, estimates from Meltzer and all credible sources (at least as far as I can find on Google) were that the hope was he'd be back for Money in the Bank or if not, then Battleground. And so far, it looks like this July 12th MSG show is the first one he's being advertised for, which might mean Battleground would be his first PPV back.

I had read that his first PPV back may be SummerSlam. Of course they are all guessing when he could be back but if he is out 6-8 weeks, Battleground may be pushing it because it's so close to him coming back. They may want to still hold off a bit on big bumps so it may make sense that his first PPV back would be SummerSlam. And there is no way he should be able to keep the title if he's out that long.

SummerSlam's the worst case scenario, Meltzer's saying. They must have a return date if they've started advertising him again though... So if Bryan's back in the ring by July 12th, I'm expecting him to be wrestling Kane or Triple H at Battleground a week later. Money in the Bank is pretty screwed though. Ziggler had the title for what, 40 or 50 days while he had the concussion last year? If Bryan's going to be good for Battleground, I'd keep it on him. If he's out til SummerSlam, I'd agree that they need to crown a new champion.
