Which WCW ppv's are a must watch on the network? I was never a big WCW fan but would like to watch some their best events. I'm a big fan of Flair and know his early stuff with Steamboat is legendary but anything else from his archives I should check out? Also, I hated the thought of Hennig in WCW and hated the rap is crap angle, but did he have any really good matches? I know he was US champ and he hennigplexed Giant, which was a sweet moment.
Thanks guys. I'll watch anything you recommend.

Slamboree 1997..... nWo - Hall, Nash, Syxx VS. WCW - Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, Kevin Greene... what a fun match! The rest of the PPV's not that great....
Fall Brawl 1993..... Regal VS. Steamboat, Flair VS. "Ravishing" Rick Rude.....
Many from 1993-1994 are also pretty good....

Just avoid SuperBrawl 2001. Not even I can handle the amount of bad within that.

I'm watching WCW/NWO uncensored at the moment. I had no idea so many WWF/WWE wrestlers are actually stolen from WCW, holy crap!

I'm watching WCW/NWO uncensored at the moment. I had no idea so many WWF/WWE wrestlers are actually stolen from WCW, holy crap! It went both ways back in the day. It was almost as if the two companies traded with each other like sports teams in the same league. From WCW to WWF: Sid Vader Ron Simmons Ric Flair etc. From WWF to WCW British Bulldog Hogan Razor Diesel etc. And many many others.

I've tried watching several and have yet to finish one in its entirety.
I just can't get into WCW. Never could.

I've tried watching several and have yet to finish one in its entirety. I just can't get into WCW. Never could. Do you know the reason why? I have a very short attention span so even top ppv I can only watch halfway and I too have not finish one in its entirely. I feel WCW is similar to WWF and ECW is definitely its own thing.

I could just never follow it or get into their product. It seemed like storylines would often get dropped on the fly with no reason or explanation. Other times, matches would take place with no meaning while the commentators would ramble on and on about "the nWo will be appearing later tonight" instead of calling the match in front of them. The crowd was also dead most of the time and looked like they had no clue who the wrestlers were if they weren't named Hulk Hogan. They did have badass N64 video games though.

I find the commentator however felt more like real sport commentator than the biased and often conflicting Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross (which I don't like). I never did like them, but that probably just me. Hell, actually I couldn't stand a single WWF/WWE commentator, they were just so fake. That is the reason I like TNA back in 06 but I guess TNA has fallen of the map by now. Well there is no doubt that ECW has the best crowd but also the toughest one as well, especially when the match isn't too high intense hardcore action, they just keep staring at you.

Tony Schiavone ruined WCW for me. That and their horrible crowds and piss poor entrance music.

It did not help that him and Heenan seemed to LOATHE one another, and the only thing keeping that commentary team from being dead silent a lot of the time was Dusty...which was almost just as bad because he really, really did not know what was coming out of his mouth sometimes. We need a Dusty Rhodes Imaginary Word dictionary for his stuff on commentary. Seriously. Someone do it. XD

I also find it funny how they bring Mike Tenay into the booth forfor certain matches because he could call moves that Tony didn't know. At Bash at the Beach 96 they even say out loud that Tenay is joining them because there would be moves they'd never heard of.
