Too True. I got so many issues I could sell subscriptions.
So, it's been a little over a day since this all dawned on me and I'm definitely going to be selling most of my figures (will be posted in the classifieds soon). There's a small chance I will regret doing so one day, but I honestly doubt it. I feel almost relieved to have a smaller collection of truly important characters rather than buying everyone I like and trying to keep doing so. Plus, now I have room to put out a few more of my wrestling DVDs, so it's a win win. LOL.
Not that I think I'm real important or anything, but in case anyone's curious, here's the list of figures I've decided to keep and why...
- Demolition (Legends): Tied with LOD & Harlem Heat as my al time favorite tag team
- Ravishing Rick Rude (Legends): Massively Underrated and one of the few guys I can say I've enjoyed every one of his matches
- Mr. Perfect (Legends): Figure is a bit too tall and skinny, but I've always loved MrP as a performer
- Legion Of Doom (e30): Spot reserved for them. See Demolition
- Andre The Giant (Matty Collector): Because he's Andre The Freakin' Giant
- The Iron Sheik (Legends): Just an awesome figure and probably one of the best bad guys ever
- Macho Man (e23 & Legends - probably gonna keep the NWO one too because it's one of the best figures Mattel's made): Such a great performer. Wanted one of each figure from his WWF days and it just didn't feel right to keep the DM one without Warrior, so until they make a neon cowboy one, e23 got the nod
- Rowdy Roddy Piper (legends): Needs a Hot Rod shirt for him, but still one of my first favorite wrestlers
- Undertaker (e27, e1, SDCC): THE best character the business has ever seen and one of my all time favorite performers.
- Ricky Steamboat (Legends): Figure is too scrawny, but Steamboat was so crisp and fluid in the ring, it's hard not to love is work
- Ric Flair (DM): Spot Reserved because WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
- Eddie Guerrero (Legends): I still miss Eddie
- Booker T (e15): Hugely underrated IMO and one of my favorites
- Bret Hart (RSC & WM30): My all time favorite wrestler. Tough call not to keep the DM one too, but I decided not to because that attire is very similar to the WM12 attire he wore and as a kid, I remember never being so mad at wrestling as I was when they went into overtime of the iron man match and Bret lost. Well, at least not until the whole Motreal thing went down.
- Chris Jericho (e20): Love me some Jericho, but honestly, this figure will get replaced if they ever release a flashback Jericho
- CM Punk (e20 & WM29): My favorite wrestler in the modern era
- Jake The Snake Roberts (All Stars & Legends): No one... NO ONE cuts a promo like Jake did (though Bray Wyatt is getting close)
- Vader (Legends): Best big man ever and massively underrated by most
- Mankind (e17): Would probably rather have the brown attire mankind, but felt like I needed a Foley of some sort
- Triple H (TRU): Again, felt I needed a Triple H and this one is the best they've made thus far IMO
- Shawn Michaels (WM30): One of the greatest performers of all time
- Kane (e12): Awesome figure and goes great next to e1 Undertaker
- Rey Mysterio (e24): Was a gift from a friend and feel like it would be wrong to sell it. Just a happy bonus that it's an awesome attire.
- Bruno Sammartino (e25): The ONLY thing missing from making this a perfect figure is a vintage WWF Championship belt.
