Before 'A Conversation With Corey' or 'Important Questions' existed, my YouTube channel used to be made up of shorts and sketches. I'd get a stupid idea, write a few jokes down, and I'd go out with my buddies and make a video out of it. Most of them were terrible, but that wasn't the point. The point was that I liked doing it, so I did. Back in early 2010 I made a video called 'Sal Melendez: A Dating Service.' It stupid, it was funny, and there was no real direction. Those three things spoke pretty well about where the channel was in 2010.
I thought it'd be fun to make another one of those old, stupid-character sketch videos again. Enjoy the terrible green screen effects, the shattering of the fourth wall, and the mis-placed censor beeps. I wanted to make this look as low-brow as possible, and I think the quality of the video sends that message pretty well.
These are a pain in the ass to make, you have no idea how hard it can be to make something look bad on purpose, without it looking so bad that you can tell that it's a joke right away. If you got a laugh out of this, let me know. I might make a few more down the line depending on the reaction to this one.
I love you.
And just for sh*ts, here's the original Sal video from 2010.

I found it pretty interesting.
One critique I would make, would be that, I don't feel the character personality matches your personal style. Nothing wrong with your personal style, I just would make a drastic change of appearance when performing as that character. With the way he talks, I picture more of a Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force kind of thing.

With the way he talks, I picture more of a Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force kind of thing. I can see why you'd think that, the voices are similar. The way I look at Sal is that he's a know it all. He'll wear anything, and it turns out it's THE look. He'll say anything, and it turns out he's always right. You have a different opinion? You're wrong, Sal is right. Also, I don't go out of the house dressed like that, haha. There's shades of my personal style in there but its all turned up to 11. Thanks for watching! Hahaha, glad to hear it. Thanks! A Pulp Fiction and Scott Steiner refrences....Im sold No one other than you has mentioned them yet, good catch. Thanks for watching, guys! Post the video on your social networks, let's get this some attention. Thank you!
