I can't say so. It might not be two big teams, but it's the third best team in the country vs a team who were looking for promotion to the top league and have had a favorable draw. But that's what the cups are about! Now Falkirk have nothing to lose and it should be a good final rather than the same old teams battling for a cup they've won a vast number of times. What an advertisement lol: "The THIRD best team in Scotland vs. a team looking for promotion!" I don't know why you keep trying to big up Scottish football as this elite league on the rise. It's nothing but a joke, boring and doesn't appeal to virtually anyone outside Scotland. This final isn't going to change that either. Pass from me, I guess I'll find out who wins in the paper the following morning. Lol. Seethe! But I'll play ball... Crowds on the up, some of the most competitive seasons in a while, teams winning trophies that haven't in a long time/ever... No matter the lack of sponsor, how badly the powers that be promote it or the lack of the magical "old firm" games there used to be where people watched hoping there'd be a war. The game's on the up and the crowds, debt free clubs (bar some ) and national and U21 national team are all beginning to show it. Compare it to Spain, Germany, England, Italy and you're on a hiding to nothing before you start, compare it to the Dutch, Norwegian, Czech leagues and there really isn't too much between us and them.

Would the top team (by a fair distance) in Holland, Norway or Czech Republic fail to reach the group stages of the Champions League?

Would the top team (by a fair distance) in Holland, Norway or Czech Republic fail to reach the group stages of the Champions League? For the Norwegian league, that's a bit of an Odd question! But I don't think there was a Norwegian or Czech representative in the group stages of the CL. Countries and reps in the GS are below England 4 Germany 4 Spain 4 Portugal3 France 2 Italy 2 Russia 2 Belgium 1 Belarus 1 Bulgaria1 Cyprus 1 Greece 1 Nedrlnds1 Slovnia 1 Sweden 1 Switzer 1 Turkey 1 Ukraine 1 So out of the top 28 leagues in the coefficient table, Czech Republic, Romania, Austria, Croatia, Poland, Israel, Denmark, Scotland, Norway and Serbia had no teams in the group stages. If that's the kind of leagues we're competing against then I can't really say that that's embarrassing or disappointing. Our clubs have had horrible years in Europe getting embarrassing, and almost humbling defeats. Aberdeen 1-8 Sigma Olomuc - "Manager" sacked that season. Hibs 0-9 Malmo - Relegated through playoff's. Celtic 1-6 Legia Warsaw - New manager just in place. Motherwell going out to Stjarnan - Fighting relegation currently. Rangers going out to Malmo then Maribor in consecutive games - Were subsequently liquidated. Hopefully now we seem to be on a more even keel and the clubs aren't scared of the bank debt they've accumulated and teams that have gotten them to a European place should be able to stay, instead of leaving and causing an Aberdeen/Hibs/Motherwell type drop in form the next season. If two teams can make the group stages of wither the CL or the EL then we might even get back to where we have two Champions League spots and hopefully more than two teams battling for the places.

wonder who will get promoted alongside Hearts? My guess is nobody haven't been keeping up on that score. Know Hearts got up and that's the last I heard.

You could argue Motherwell are "rank rotten" too. How Ian Baraclough is a manager is beyond me.

Yeah I'd have said whoever wins the first tie would be my pick. Queen's being serious contenders if they turn it around on Sunday.

Rangers. The Rangers It's maybe a bit early for this but a 3-1 lead in a game away from home is a fair lead and I did say that the 2nd worst in the Prem would be better than the 2nd/3rd or 4th best in the 2nd league no matter how big the club is.

It's not to early now. Massive gulf in quality and I look forward to Hearts being brought back down earth next season.
Now... Where did I put that St Mirren top...

Cringey as . On yourself Mohsni. Some hook. If only he could teach Bell how to punch like that.
