I've noticed at school that a ton of kids have cracked screens and broken phones because they don't have cases on them and I'm shocked when they tell me the amount of money they pay for this to be fixed. I even found out there's some shady kid in my grade that will fix screens for $75.
Anyway what phone do you have and do you have a case on it
I have an iphone 5s with the otter box defender series

I know where I live in the mall, they fix it for $100. I have an iPhone 5 and always keep an otterbox on it. Kinda looks ugly but protects my phone so idc

Had an iPhone 4 for a year. Had it in the otter box for 6 months, took it out. Within a few weeks the screen cracked, lock button broke. Spent $125 repairing it twice. I eventually got sick of it and just recently got the Samsung Galaxy 5. Have it in an otter box commuter. The thing is a beast... never would go back to Apple's crap.

its not the fact that they have or do not have a case. I put money on it that its HOW they treat their phones. In the last 10 years I have only had one phone start do die out on me. So I have only went through 5 phones. Had cases on some, non on others.
I work with a kid ( 20-21 years old ) who in two years has went through no less than 5 iphones. Simply due to how he treats them. Shattered the screen of one phone that was in an otterbox....... what the hell was he doing?

always a case; I use this: Seidio PT Holster Kickstand for Apple® iPhone® 5 and 5s
the case has a firm grip & the clip works great for making sure it isn't sliding around (or out of) your pocket
to be extra safe, also ordered this, but it hasn't come yet: Champagne Gold Glass Tempered Drop-proof Screen Protector

I've had lots of iPhones over the years without cases but I only cracked my screen once and that was in November with my 5.
Once I get it fixed, I still won't put a case on it though. I don't like the way it looks and I'm pretty good with my phones so I don't see a need for it.

Galaxy SII, no case. I've dropped it a number of times and it is great. The problem with iPhones and Apple in general is that glass cracks so easily. That's why >50% of iPhones I see are cracked. It just doesn't make sense to me to buy a phone for $500-600 KNOWING that the screen will shatter the first time you drop it.
Kayfabe, I have an iPhone with a furry cover.

I have a LG G2 right now without a case, but only because I can't find a decent looking friggin case. Once I do I'll wrap that sheyz up.
Fun fact for you since we're talking about phones breaking and not breaking: I had a Galaxy SIII before this one, and I ended up running over it with my car, and while it shattered my wooden case, the screen was perfectly fine aside from the tiremark running across it which cleaned off.
Suck that, Apple.

iPhone 5s,
I've had 3 cases which I changed on the reg. Now, I just use a back case that was a gift from a friend of mine overseas.

I've been through three iPhones and never had a cracked screen. I hate seeing scratches on mine so I keep a case on it at all times. Thats my current case.

I just use a regular case and only had one crack screen on my iPhone 5. Still have not fixed it since I got the 5s.

I just use the bumper cases in case I accidentally drop it to absorb the shock. I have always just used those for every smart phone I have had, and now on my Galaxy S5. I can't stand those giant otterbox monstrosities that make the phone twice as big and heavy. With the current glass used on smart phones, I don't see the need to cover the screen. You almost have to try really hard to scratch them. I had the iphone 3G, 4, 5, and now the S5 and not a single scratch on any of them with nothing covering the screen.

I have a little clip on case. But I also don't have an iPhone, just an Android touch screen it's fate. I went out today, an hour after this post, and dropped my phone down our concrete steps. It bounced down three steps, chipped the case in three places.. My phone is flawless.
