So I recently picked up Elite Series 8 Edge on eBay. I was stoked to win the Rated-R Superstar. But when I opened the package today, he smelled like cigarette smoke. I'm a nonsmoker, and I'd prefer my guys not reek of cigarette smoke. Any tips for getting the stink out? How bad is it? I have onethat does not smell like smoke. Pretty heavy when he came out of the envelope. The jacket is the worst, really. Going to try the dryer-sheet technique.

Zip lock bag with one of those arm & hammer odor pellets they sell at Walmart. Let it sit for a few days, air it out and give it a few more days depending on the stink.

I don't know how but I'd love my figures to smell like smoke. I just love that smell.

A couple of things I would try:
1. Leave the figure and jacket outside a day or two out of reach from animals, etc LOL
2. To clean up a figure and take away odd smells, put some rubbing alcohol on it with a paper towel or rag. It will shine up the figure and may take away the smell.

The problem is that the rubber is porous and the smell seeps into it, so cleaning them off doesn't work well. I wasn't aware of that until recently. I knew fabric could retain smells, but not plastic. Then I was considering buying a figure on Ebay and noticed that numerous people had given the seller negative feedback for figures with a cigarette smell. I didn't buy from that seller, but I'm glad this topic came up in the event that I have to deal with this at some point.

You look at the figure in the eyes, and you tell him, "Let's be straight, Edge."

Dude this figure totally reaks of awesomeness.....oh wait that's smoke... I would fill your sink with some hot water and a little bit of any kind of cleaner(depends on what you use, try not using anything too strong or chemically so it won't damage the figure) soak it for a little bit pull it out and let it dry off. Any soap/cleaner suggestions? Thanks! Maybe some Faboluso or Mr. Clean, anything that has a strong clean scent should do or if you're looking for just a strait clean, water mixed with a little bit of vinegar should do the trick as well just make sure you don't over do it with the vinegar cause it will leave the figure with a strong vinegary scent that can come of obnoxious.

Wash it good with soap and leave it outside for a while the smoke should eventually fade away.

I hope you contacted the seller, or left appropriate feedback. This is something I've run into a few times, and it just sucks for non-smokers.

I don't understand why people wanna smoke inside anyway. Stop being lazy and go outside. Or stop smoking. I stopped. And I never smoked in the house anyway. I found it to be a stupid idea because everything stinks, and it's very disrespectful to guests. No one wants to be in a house reeking of cigarettes

I absolutely hate the smell of cigarette. Wash it with laundry soap. They're usually stronger.

Baking soda absorbs smells. So does activated charcoal. Do what you wish with this information. These are the best solutions. I put a stuffed animal that smelled like smoke in a sealed, plastic container with a box of baking soda and the smell went away completely. It will take a couple of weeks at least to be sure to get rid of everything. I left the stuffed animal in there for several months and changed the baking soda a couple to times to be sure.

The dryer sheet didn't work for me, but I bought some arm and hammer carpet cleaner powder, it's like 2 bucks at Walmart
But the fig in a box, and sprinkle a decent amount in the box, covering the fig
Let it sit for about 24 hours, then wash them off, and they are good to go

Spray Febreeze on it or wrap it in a sheet of Bounce
