One thing that I do not understand is, that the WWE as a huge company, does not seem to have a “plan” for their product, it’s more so write as you go, weekly. Listening to talk is Jericho with Heyman talking about his time writing Smackdown and creating the Smack Down six and all, and it makes me wonder. The ratings were through the roof, the talent was getting over, was a great product on television, why change it? Now I understand obviously the “Smackdown six” would have eventually needed to break off, but that’s not the point. My point is this format and system was clearly working, was creating stars, was putting seats into the arena and was smashing the ratings. It’s a really straight forward lay out really, having 6 guys on the show as the main attractions, wrestlers that is the perfect mix of great wrestlers and good promo skills. So today I look at Smackdown, and it’s almost a poor man’s Main Event which really just shows you how bad Smackdown has become in terms of its individuality, uniqueness and fun. So why not use the mastermind Paul Heyman as the head writer of Smackdown? hell let him and Dutch run things on Smackdown while HHH, Vince & the D-list Hollywood movie writers can take care of RAW. If I was to create a new Smackdown six I would have Cesaro, Jack Swagger, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler a long with focusing on tag teams like The Uso’s, The Ascension, Enzo & Big Cass, RybAxel, The International Daredevils (Kofi & Gabriel) and The Prime Time Players (Once Young is healthy, put them together again, Titus is going nowhere). Lots of story lines between teams and superstars, market everyone in a way that the talent has input over not only their merchandise but their characters and story lines as well, that has proven to be the best way to get somebody over. Let these guys re-invent the IC Title and Tag Titles, hell never have the WWE WHC on the show. Showcase the IC title and the true stepping stone towards being the “face” of the company, also giving the show some uniqueness presentation wise would be great to the eye, give it the house show set, it looks great imo, add a few more mini trons and it would look great. Bring back the blue ropes as well.

Well for a little bit over the past two years The Shield kind of formed a new smackdown six...
And by that i mean every week they were having the best or second to best match of the week against some random 3 guy combo which was awesome basically every time.
But sadly that's no more. Smack down is less important then Main Event at this point.
I totally get what you are saying though.

I know that 2009 had something of a Smackdown Six. CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Edge, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio and John Morrison. Wasn't the original Smackdown Six but was still good. I loved Smackdown. I actually always preferred it to Raw during the Brand Split.

tldr; use paragraphs.
As I mentioned before, my favourite time for SmackDown was 2009. Punk vs Hardy, and Jericho vs Rey Mysterio. Which lead to Rey Mysterio vs John Morrison and Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler. Awesome.

Wasn't there just a thread about Smackdown being good called The Rise and Fall of Smackdown or something that went on a few pages? You couldn't just respond in that instead of making a whole new thread

I wish they'd treat it as a separate brand again - have it's own roster & occasional (special) crossovers.
That way it would feel unique & have it's own identity - as it is now, it's basically an extended RAW recap with a few crap mathes peppered in.

Smackdowns been dead since early 2011 when Edge retired. A dare someone to name a memorable moment that happened on smackdown since that is on the same level as the stuff they put on Raw.

There were a few GREAT months early this year. Orton vs Cesaro stands out.

There were a few GREAT months early this year. Orton vs Cesaro stands out. I agree. Ever since the 'Authority' returned, we've seen tons of great matches carrying over from Raw onto SmackDown. For example: Seth vs Dolph from last week, and over a million 6-Man Shield Matches. All better then the last.

I'd prefer Paul Heyman to become a head moderator on Wfigs and lock all these repetitive threads.

I would always say id NEVER get sick of Shield vs Bryan and 2 partner 6 man tag matches. And I never did.

Not reading this. I'm convinced Smackdown haters don't even watch it. It's actually good and I don't have time for "Live! marks."

I like the idea of a new 6 (minus your inclusion of Swagger, that dude needs to be happy he still has a job). I think if they had 8 legit wrestlers exclusive to SD would make it must-see again.
I'd use: Rollins Ambrose Ziggler Del Rio Cesaro Zayn Prince Devitt Kevin Steen
WWE, I'll be waiting for my check in the mail...

I'm just confused as to why you'd comment without reading what the post is actually about. You're using the same logic as "those guys who complain about SmackDown without watching it"...
