Anyone else find it odd that WWE just dropped the whole HBK/Daniel Bryan angle. It seemed like there were more plans for this angle, then all the sudden they just stopped mentioning it.
Do you guys also find it odd, and do you think it'll ever be brought back up for a future angle involving HBK and Bryan?

According to HBK, it was never supposed to be a match. It was supposed to begin and end at Hell in a Cell, Shawn had to beg to let Bryan stretch him on Raw the next night. The hints thrown at the Slammy's had me excited for a minute though.

I completely forgot about it tbh. Glad it ended though, because I honestly dont think Shawn could go another match.

He didn't skip a beat through out the 2000's. He outshined himself at 2 Wrestlemanias against Undertaker... Shawn could come back tomorrow and put on a better match than most if not all of the roster.

He probably could still have Class A matches for 5 more years if he wanted. That's his god given ability. I'm pissed that it never went anywhere. I was hoping and praying for a Mania 30 match.

It's still build able. In typical wrestling fashion... Student vs Teacher. One for the ages!!! I would drop money on it. Quote me on this, I'd fly out for the PPV!

And would obviously be HBKs last. Sting vs Taker seems to have been rendered impossible now. Let's not let the same thing happen to this one.

A true old school versus new school.

Nah it's done.
They could've done more with it but it's too late to bring it back up now.

If they wanted to they could have HBK help Bryan with his comeback (channelling his own comeback from a serious injury in 2002) and then turn on him in his returning title match, setting it up for WM31.

Bryan/Michaels is the equivilant of Punk/Austin. We will never get it.

Ah, I remember the end of the Slammys Raw where CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Shawn Michaels and Triple H all hit each other. The Best and The Beard vs. DX would've been great.

WWE forgetting about a storyline is the stuff this company is made of these days.

as much as i wish otherwise, hbk isnt coming back to wrestle. he takes his retirement match loss seriously cause it ended his career on his terms.

Yeah I agree, and I said that around the time this all happened. I believe Vince would have to genuinely need Shawn to come back in order for him to return to the ring, meaning extreme circumstances. Shawn was really hurt by the entire Ric Flair situation. So he isn't going to just randomly come back and wrestle and devalue what he had with Undertaker. That being said though, had he returned to work against Bryan I'm sure it would have been incredible. I just personally don't think that was ever meant to be the intention. Because of Bryan's history training at Shawn's academy it made perfect sense to have HBK involved the way he was and it didn't need to escalate to a match. We got to see HBK interact with Bryan and we saw CM Punk get hit with SCM and that was awesome enough for me. Shawn vs Seth Rollins Shawn vs Daniel Bryan Shawn vs Ziggler Shawn vs CM Punk (assuming they both would return haha) Some fantasy matches there I would donate a nut to see but I truly believe HBK is retired.

Uhh no? There was no storyline. HBK screwed Bryan to help out his friend, then Bryan beat him up for it. That was it. HBK is retired, he isn't "feuding" with anyone.

Shawn will never wrestle again because he gave Taker his word. And he respects the Taker
