About 2 1/2 years ago I started on this project. I picked up a ESR from Big Lots for $20 during the Christmas sale, but realized it was just WAY too big for my liking. Also, I really wanted a good looking cage for it. So I decided since the ring was so cheap that I wouldn't mind hacking it up and hoping for the best. I ordered a Jakks hell in a cell cage and took the corner pieces off, which left each length of cage at 18 inches, perfect. I then used an exacto to cut the ring into 4 sections like a Swedith flag pattern, so not directly in the middle but I basically took out a 4 inch section wide and long. I then put the 4 pieces back together and used extra pieces from the removed section with gorilla glue to make supports and bracing to connect the ring back together. On the top to make it seamless I used black gorilla duct tape over the cracks. I then took thin packing foam and put a few layers down to make the surface of the ring softer. I put the mat back over it and cut the corners to fit, and used the original clamps to resecure it to the ring. Just this month I FINALLY finished it by ordering a custom skirt from Naporo01. Instead of tying it on, I just glued the skirt to the mat. For the cage I just use twist ties to fasten it to the ring. I'd like to find silver ones to blend in. But that's it. Fully playable, displayable, impact absorbing, looks like the jakks monster ring I used to have in the mid 90s, perfectly in scale with a cage to match. The cage even has a full sized door. Finished product With figures for scale Without the cage pre-ring skirt an example of the bracing

If you're going by 1998 or 97 or 99 it's not too accurate I'm 90% sure the posts are inaccurate on your ring, about 50 percent sure the aprons are innaccurate For some reason the pics of the aprons aren't loading but the raw is war is supposed to be a lot bigger

That looks GREAT! I would recommend painting your ringposts black though if you wanna go for a full on WWF 90s ring. If you really wanna add more to it, get some decal paper or some really smooth sticky paper and print out WWF logos to put on the rubber posts and neatly apply gorilla glue if needed. it would then look like an accurate rendition of that ring but overall I love it! Amazing job man!

Not too bad, but it's kinda inaccurate. Maybe remove the wwe logos on the turnbuckles, and just keep them black. Or put the attitude era wwf logo on it As the others said, paint the posts black. Also, the apron isn't correct because "Raw is War" is supposed to be much larger: Not too bad though

Nice job at shrinking down the monster.
And ring skirt complaints can be directed towards me. Of course logos can be made bigger but it cost more due to extra logo work and materials. I think his purpose was to show how to mod the huge ring to be a more manageable size, not necessarily to get a completely accurate deco ring.

I like it a lot, nice job! All I'd recommend is like the others say, paint the posts black if you're going for an Attitude era style ring. (Personally, I'd have kept the ring a little bit bigger, but each to their own!)

Good on ya man. That is a hell of a look. Personally I love the size of the ESR/ASR and I am going to have to get creative with the cage that I end up building. I'll have to use metal doll rods and solder. I'm going for an 80's style cage. Kudos to you for having the sack to chop up the ring man. Even if I scored one for $20 it would be hard for me to do that. Good go though man. Very impressive.
