My son and I decided to make our first ever custom ring. Made it completely out of wood. Stained the ring posts and ring steps. Still not sure what to use as turnbuckles over the metal hooks. Used fabric for the ring mat (over top of the wood), and the ring skirt.

Simple yet effective. Better cover up those turn buckles though!

Thanks guys. My son is 10. He'll love hearing that we did a good job.
I love how we made it out of wood so it sounds nice when the wrestlers "bump" on it.

Oh that brings back memories. I did the same thing for ring steps as you did back in 96 with the Jakks Monster ring.

Now that's what's up! They sell rolls of matting for dish cabinets at Wal-Mart, that male great Turnbuckles, & additional sheets of cushion for the canvas.
