I am sorry I have always found ADR PAINFULLY boring he is good in the ring, but he puts me to sleep and since I DVR My WWE when his music hits it a >> moment.

IMO WWE writers have yet to give fans a reason to love or hate Del Rio. As a heel he does nothing but run his mouth. And then he turns face for no reason. How are the fans expected to care for him when they have no idea why he's a good guy all of a sudden? For fans to be invested into a face they have to understand who they are and what they stand for. As a heel they have to hate everything about you and your behaviors. Coming out and talking once a week isn't gonna cut it. I like Del Rio, but he needs to either save the princess or blow up a children's hospital. "You little perro, you little Chihuahua!" his mic skills are terrible when it comes to trash talking. Repetitive and boring.

I think Del Rio is good in the ring, can cut a decent promo. But there is something he is lacking. Comes across as boring. I also wish they never split Ricardo away from him. Taking Ricardo away from him and pairing him with RVD was a bad idea

I always though that the Alberto Del Rio character had a great look. The car, pyro and personal ring announcer were good even if part of it was a JBL rip off. His promos are terrible but his ring work is good. It just goes to show how "former World Champion" doesn't mean much anymore.

This is how I feel about the situation: The wavy lines, I can dig.

I pretty much say the same thing whenever Del Rio's name is brought up, and I still believe it to be true.
Del Rio is naturally unlikeable. He's got the look of a heel, the gimmick of a heel, and all the characteristics to be a successful villain.
Except his in-ring work.
His style is extremely conducive to being a babyface. It's not coincidence, at least to me, that some of Del Rio's finest work came during his brief face run. I've never seen a guy's in-ring demeanor and style change so dramatically because of a turn. That's the closest he's ever been to captivating an audience.
Unfortunately, he doesn't seem like he has the ability to tailor an enjoyable in-ring style to his heel persona. He's usually dreadfully boring in the ring as a result.
On the mic, he's been stale for years, whether he's a heel or a babyface.
Del Rio is a talented guy, but he's never been a main event player, and I've never seen a company try so hard to convince an audience that someone is. He's been rejected time and time again, and he'll continue to be rejected for the rest of his career.

He was pretty damn over as a face. They should have kept that going. Del Rio was at his best during that time. This. He seemed to be gaining tremendous steam. Unfortunately they did that fabulous double turn with him and Ziggler, which was amazing but did next to nothing for both guys' careers. I think if they'd kept Del Rio babyface while also turning Ziggler it would've been a lot better. I would've loved to have seen a babyface Del Rio going up against a heel Lesnar, for instance.
