Taz was the man in ECW. He was ECW's "Brock Lesnar" for he was seen as a legit real fighter, he destroyed MMA fighters, pro wrestlers, amateur wrestlers, and everything in between.
Once the Tazmaniac died, and his tag team with Sabu split, the real life hatred between the two was really that... real! Taz was a great World Champion, defeating the greatest ECW World Champion of all time in Shane Douglas, to win that belt.
It's hard to watch Taz matches though from late 1995 and all through 1996, because they were mainly squash matches. But 1997 got to see Taz work with Douglas, Candido, RVD, and finally... Sabu! In 1998 it was all about building up Shane Douglas vs. Taz, and it got so heated that even Sabu and RVD team with Taz to take out the Triple Threat. Taz was a wrestling machine for ECW, and I am sure that's how he will be remembered.
Next up on the list...
"Big Stevie Cool" Stevie Richards!

Stevie Richards was a decent worker, and he sure as hell knew how to get heat! first with Raven, then with the Meanie. for all the comedy acts they did,it was never a detriment to them. and then,of course, mocking the nWo,and his elevation to semi-main event status. in the end,I consider him an average to good worker who found a gimmick that worked and ran with it. none of his WWF stuff impressed me.
best match? probably to me the Triple-Threat match at the forst ECW PPV vs Sandman and Terry Funk.
nest up : The Sandman. this should be challenging, cause the concept of Sandman's best match is in itself an oxymoron.

The Sandman is....an interesting wrestler. He's sloppy and decent at best but that's part of his charm. And his entrance was awesome.
I don't know about best but him and Dreamer vs Dudley's at ONS 05
Next up-Tajiri

Yoshihiro Tajiri. The buzz saw. If his stuff kicks and green most didn't make you an instant fan, his orthodox move list full of handspring elbows and the infamous Tarantula!!!
For his size, he proved he could go against Spuke Dudley or Mike Awesome. And he could inflict pain anywhere on the body with accurate kicks.
My favorite time of Tajiri in ECW started in 2000. With Mickey Whipwreck and The Father James Mitchel. Such a strange, mind warped team. They had a fun and strange tag team run. Full of Red and Green mist.
Even in three way dances, against Crazy, Lynn, Guido,Kash, and Maritato, he pulled no punches... Or kicks. I would say, he had a better run in ECW than he did in WWF. Sure he held titles in WWE, but the road to success was much sweater in developing a memerable character in the land of Extreme. Watch the ECW intro, if the videos of his mist or kicks don't have you screaming Yoshihiro Tajiri, then you just didn't get it!
Next..... The Amish man himself, Roadkill.

Do you have different thoughts on roadkill? I sure as hell do not..... Pretty much. I never could get into that character. It was good for a laugh, maybe like once or twice, but it just never caught on with me.

I enjoy him as a person. He used to come into the mall I worked at when he was in OVW and buy discounted WWE and TNA shirts to see as gimmiks, which ultimately got him fired from WWE Developmental.
Next up is.....bWo

Shane douglas was built for ECW, he was a young, brash, pissed off kid and him and Paul E ran with it. He wasn't a slouch in the ring either.his main appeal was also his main flaw once he left for WCW he was toned down, which was a real shame. I thought he was a good worker but i think his attitude had quite an effect on his carear.Personally loved the tripe threat vs Taz,sabu and RVD. Apparently he's working at Walmart which is a shame... Also interested to hear your opinions on douglas so let's keep the ball rolling I watched a few recent interviews with Shane and he seems like a good guy. I respect the man for being a 9 to 5 guy now instead of having illusions of grandeur like some of these former Legends. He is taking care of his family and enjoying life. He admitted that he was a huge Flair fan and only talked crap about him during promos to get more hype. Flair didn't see it that way though.

I'll always remember Shane for his return to ECW after the disasterous WWF stint. the feuds with 2 Cold Scorpio, Jericho, and especially the Pit bulls for the TV Title were frigging great, and I challenge anyone to find me a better example of ECW during it's prime than the four-way elimination match between Shane, 2 Cold, Jericho, and Pit bull #2 for the ECW TV title. the fans LITERALLY wanted him dead going into that match, and after it was over,he had such nuclear heat they wanted to piss on his corpse too!
