So thanks to the WWE network we can go back and watch every ECW PPV and ECW TV, up till 95.....
Any who...So I thought I would come here and see of we could have some fun. I was thinking let's name a wrestler....had to wrestle in ECW at least twice. One person names one and then the next says what they think their best match was, and Gives an opinion of said wrestler. I figure this could open up a whole lotta classic ECW moments for peoe to go find.
First wrestler......Mike Awesome

I thought that Mike Awesome was, well, awesome during his ECW run. A lot of hard hitting matches and a dominant run as Champion. My favorite match of his during his ECW run would've been one against Masato Tanaka in White Plains, New York on ECW on TNN. Also their One Night Stand 2005 match was cool.
Good thread idea. Next up; Justin Credible

won't lie, credible was absolutely terrible in the ring imo. teaming him with lance managed to cover a lot of his flaws, and he wasn't bad at playing his character, so it worked out...but overall, yeesh. favourite match:
justin credible vs. steve corino vs. sandman - tables, ladders, chairs and canes - guilty as charged 2001.
and my pick is...dr death steve williams

I was never a fan of Dr.Death Steve Williams. Mainly because I never saw him wrestle until 2002/2003 in Major League Wrestling. I started to like him, and of course he left. With that said, Dr.Death Steve Williams and Terry Funk vs Steve Corino and CW Anderson was a fun match. They later wrestled in a Hardcore War Games style match. 2 rings, 1 cage.
Next wrestler.... Shane Douglas. This one should be an awesome read!

Shane douglas was built for ECW, he was a young, brash, pissed off kid and him and Paul E ran with it. He wasn't a slouch in the ring either.his main appeal was also his main flaw once he left for WCW he was toned down, which was a real shame. I thought he was a good worker but i think his attitude had quite an effect on his carear.Personally loved the tripe threat vs Taz,sabu and RVD. Apparently he's working at Walmart which is a shame...
Also interested to hear your opinions on douglas so let's keep the ball rolling

I don't think you can have a conversation about ECW without mentioning Shane Douglas. He was one of the first to blur the lines of reality and gimmick. Sure he played a hard ass. But even in his shoots, he was The Franchise. He embodied what a wrestler should be. He had the look, great physic, awesome on the mic, and could tell a story with almost anyone. He did a hell of a job with the Pitbulls, but my favorite feud with him was with Taz. Two bad ass guys, in one company that never felt big enough for the two of them. Every time they clashed, it felt like it was out for blood. A true in ring and out of the ring rivalry. It's unfortunate his attitude had him out of wrestling as a normal guy at Target. But in my opinion, Shane Douglas belongs in the annuals of history and in the Hall of Fame.

Oh does that mean that November To Remember with Neidhart vs. Sandman is available to watch? ECW November To Remember 1993 wasn't released on home video. It was just one week of ECW TV. If the 1993 ECW TV shows are on the Network, then you can watch it.

I have no use for Shane Douglas and I've mentioned it in other threads. I find him incredibly overrated.
Anyway, Neidhart was in ECW? I had no clue.

ECW Hardcore TVs from 1993 are available. Not sure if the Jim Neidhart stuff would be on it though. It's only stuff from after Paul Heyman took over.

I figured one day I would disagree with you, and here it is. Could you explain why, to you, he is overrated? I found him to be very average in the ring and on the mic. He was okay at both but I never found him to be great. Also, he made a name for himself by burying other guys on the mic instead of doing it by his own merit. I just wasn't a fan.

To get it back on topic....Next wrestler is Perry Saturn Very talented in-ring but I literally don't remember a word he ever said that wasn't Moppy.... If he and Kronus stayed together and Kronus got in better shape they could have been huge. Sadly Saturn had all the ability in the world and yet I'll always remember him for being the worst Radical. Dude was willing to do anything to get over too but he just doesn't have that "it factor" everyone talks about.

Dude was willing to do anything to get over too but he just doesn't have that "it factor" everyone talks about. I thought Saturn was the break out star of The Eliminators. They had a great feud with The Gangstas and Public Enemy. His WCW run was fun as well. Breaking off from The Flock, really proved to help his career. His flaw was on the mic. He wasn't that great of a talker. However, in the ring, he shined. His super hurricanrana off the too of the cage on Mustafa in ECW was probably , in my opinion, one of his most high listed ECW moments. Their finisher was very unique. Next wrestler.... He's Super, He's crazy, He's Super Crazy!

super crazy was the undercard main eventer, the three way dances with guido and tajiri were fast paced full of springboarding saults stiff kicks and technical holds, everything that a fan of WRESTLING loves. But he was a "spot monkey"
kip ups, baseball slides, powerbombs, 10 punch in the corner (with fans Spanish subtitles) and three rope moonsault ......with the balcony moonsault as the payoff
i was always a heel fan so never really rooted for crazy but I can see his appeal
now on to the human suplex machine .......TAZ please note only one Z
beat me if you can survive if I let you
