Hi everyone. I don't usually post in this section, but I feel I had to for this topic. The show Alcatarz which was on in 2012, did anyone catch it? I only recently just watched it and after the last episode which was so good in terms of mystery, I'm really pissed that it was cancelled. If you did watch, what did you think of it and how do you think it could've gone on. When Hauser and Lucy find Mr K in that room and he starts laughing manically when he finds out the jump worked, I was so ready for a follow up and we get nothing. - One In Need Of Enlightenment

Yeah I thought it was awesome, pretty pissed it didn't get another series. Plus Rebecca was pretty hot so that was a bonus.

No, despite Sam Neill and Sarah Jones being in it...sadly it was one of those shows where I watched the first episode of and the following week forgot all about it...

I actually really enjoyed it, but I thought by not revealing how or why those jumps were possible during the episodes was pretty stupid. All of these jumps keep happening and NOBODY knew how it was happening? Despite that, it was pretty good.

I think it was going to be revealed eventually, like in the last episode of say Season 4 or so, the warden and Mr K are talking to each other, then they press something and they jump. I really anted the Warden to be behind the door they opened, although I'm fine with what we got.

My wife and I enjoyed it, and were disappointed there wasn't a second season. The doctor from the show was in the first season of The Blacklist.
But man, the most impressive thing about that show was Rebecca's rack. Even my wife was impressed.

I think I watched one episode of it or part of one and thought it was lame

I gave it an honest try. I can't remember if I made it through the entire first season or not, but I remember struggling to get through however much I did watch. I'm not a big fan of episodic mysteries where every week is just something different with some strings connecting it all together. That's part of the reason I usually dislike medical shows (and why, despite loving the characters, I went through phases with House.)
In the end, it was nothing more than another failed experiment in network television to me. The network drama is getting closer and closer to dead in my eyes. Style over substance. Flood everything with light and go at it. Every show looks exactly the same visually as a result. It's just lazy.
