Who here can wake up like they do in the movies- straight up and out, refreshed and full of life?
I'll tell you, I wake up with lots of grunting, barely holding my eyes open, crazy dishevelled hair, bloodshot eyes, and lots of snot.
Does anyone really have such an easy go of waking up?

Dude, getting up for me is literally one of the hardest things to do. It's actually insanely hard. Sometimes I just physically don't have the strength to get up. It's crazy. I miss a lot of days of school simply because I legit can not get out of bed

I do. I get out of bed like grandpa Joe in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Screw waking up. That's easy. Try being a raging insomniac I can be dead tired and the second my heads on a pillow my body and mind are just like that Ambrose "nope" gif.
Its too the point where two or three days a week I wind up staying awake all night. Sleep is not an easy thing for me at all. And I don't really want to take any sleeping medication either. So I kind of have to deal with it. I've been like this all my life. I just cannot fall asleep.

Those infomercials that are selling super comfortable hypowhatever mattresses are the worst. They have a young woman waking up with a massive smile on her face and not a hair out of place either. If the mattress was really that comfortable I wouldn't be so eager to get up and off of it. I'd be staying in that sumbitch all day.

There's only one part of me that's always up and ready for the morning and it ain't the head resting on the pillow.

I have gotten in the habit of making myself get up no matter what. I LOVE sleeping. I usually spend the first hour grumpy and walking into doorways.

I can ruin an entire day in bed after I open my eyes. Some days I just cannot get myself up and moving. I'll lay in bed and make myself late for work just because I can't get moving.
Oy.

Waking up is a mother er for me, much like actually falling asleep. Most days, I usually can't fall asleep 'til around 6 or 7AM - I just can't do it. And after I wake up, it'll usually take me an hour or so before I actually get the will up to get out of bed. I find that I usually have much more energy when I'm about to go to bed, than during most of the day.

This isn't the forum where I can discuss the first thing I do when I wake up.
I just try my hardest to go back to sleep.

Christ. Waking up sucks. For me, I'm energetic as at night, so I'm up around 7-8 with no sleep. Around 9, I'll pass out and wake up around 4. What a cycle.

I have my days when my body wants to stay in bed all day. I have to force myself to wake up and do things. Much like how I forced myself to try to keep my mind busy while be trapped in a hospital for 13 days. As I grew older, my sleep cycle is ****ed. Hell, when I was a kid, I couldn't sleep for **** on Sunday nights. Therefore, I used to wake up tired as hell on Monday.
