never say never in wrestling. everyone has come back or has had some contact with WWE even if they were banned or swore they were never going back, only Randy Savage never returned Even he probably would've if hadn't died. I mean he was already in All Stars, and he some figures coming out. you never know, i believe those deals were with Mattel and THQ exclusively

For the people who are saying that CM Punk should have been in the main event of Wrestlemania 30, yeah it wasn't gonna happen. Wrestlemania 30 was Daniel Bryan's time to shine, his time to become one of the top guys in the business. I'm convinced that CM Punk was pissed off that Daniel Bryan got pushed to the main event. Sure he'll say "Oh, I'm real happy for Daniel Bryan getting this push", but deep down, I think he was pissed and I feel that he thinks he deserves everything. Now this is coming from a CM Punk fan, a huge CM Punk who in 2011 when RAW came to Cleveland, I did everything possible to buy a ticket to see CM Punk. I feel that CM Punk got more than his fair share in WWE. The whole "Person's in the title picture, then he's not" situation, this has happened with a lot of people. Perfect example is Randy Savage. He wasn't always given the title, he went from IC Title to World Title to Macho King in the WWF back in the 80's and early 90's. That didn't dis-motivate Randy Savage to still bust his ass to entertain the people, so I think CM Punk is a little selfish to leave the way he is. I feel he left because if he wasn't gonna be pushed as the top guy, he wasn't gonna be motivated to do anything. You know what, look at Orton. He wasn't always in the title picture. I remember a time when I started thinking, "When's the last time he got a title shot", before he got the heel turn push in 2013. Just my view on that subject, and remember, this is coming from a huge CM Punk fan who wants him to return. Me too, and I would hope that he WAS annoyed by Bryan's push. If he wasn't pissed off that Bryan - friend or not - basically took his spot, after he'd worked his arse off for the last six and a half years to get there, that means he really did lose his passion. As for Punk getting "more than his fair share"... well, I disagree. Granted he got more than some - but it was no more than he deserved. However, he was also overlooked numerous times, seeing as he never got a Rumble win and of course he never got what he truly deserved, which was a headline match at WM and an opportunity to close the show. I can only imagine how he felt, while having to first watch the Miz take his spot at WM 27 - which was an utter disgrace - and then the Rock and Cena stink-fest at WM 29... while he - and anyone else with a clue, knew all along that it should've been him in those matches. Also, there always seemed to be an agenda behind what they gave Punk, like they didn't give him it because he was the best, like they should've done, but rather because their hand was forced. He was second-choice for the ECW title behind Morrison (what a joke), only getting it because Morrison got suspended. He only got his first MITB because Jeff Hardy got suspended. His first run as WHC was a joke due to poor booking and a clueless creative team. Yeah he was champ for 434 days, but he was still second-fiddle to Cena. Kayfabe-wise - despite coming off the longest championship run of the modern era, he wasn't even deemed important enough to challenge the streak outright, like HHH and HBK, Orton - and even Henry before him... instead having to earn the right to face 'Taker by winning a pointless fatal 4 way first. That's right, the LONGEST REIGNING WWE CHAMPION OF THE LAST 25 YEARS had to EARN THE RIGHT to challenge the Undertaker at WM. The only championship run that felt 100% organic, was the '09 feud with Hardy... and we all know how that ended up, with Punk becoming a victim of petty, childish, behind-the-scenes, political bullcrap, so in the end even that was tainted. Was he selfish for walking away? Maybe a little, but he'd had so many slaps in the face from the management over the years - and you just don't treat your best talent that way, so I can't blame him for deciding that he'd had enough. I just hope that he comes back sometime. I don't understand why he doesn't want to be on the road with AJ though. Punk is a stubborn a hole. He's burnt his bridge with WWE. And they should take legal action because of his breach of contract. He handled the entire situation like a complete juvenile and I wish everyone could just forget about him already. Cool story bro. Give over with that crap will you. Also, people aren't going to forget about Punk anytime soon. He was too good and left too big a mark on the business to be forgotten. Maybe if he was a talentless, personality-free, boring, drone like a Ryback, he might have been... but an elite talent like Punk isn't easily forgotten. Because the recent "FEED ME MORE" chants haven't been louder than any of the recent "CM Punk" chants. Out of sight out of mind.

Watched the video. Looks like sarcasm to me.
I say give it a year, he'll be back. For now, I hope he enjoys the time off and gets some much needed rejuvenation.

CM Punk has 27 pieces of merchandise still being sold on WWE Shop while also being on the second page of search by superstar. That should be quite the indicator that he didn't burn that bridge.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO Its over guys..........again.............he's really not coming back this time. RIP Punk's Career 2006 - 2014 (Although really July of 2014 since no one can accept the fact hes gone) he started wrestling in 1998.. and most of the best matches of his career were before 2006.

Not arguing with you I loved Punks time in ROH and IWA, I was mostly referring to his time in WWE though. Since that's what most people seem to remember most.

I don't think you are understanding what I am saying. Why would WWE continue to sell merchandise of someone they burned a bridge with? Why would they feature that person? You don't see any Jeff Jarrett, Carlito, Lashley, etc. Merchandise on there website, but Punk has merchandise up.

Jarrett, Carlito, and Lashley have not only been gone for years, but where were these guys on the merch chart when they were at WWE? Punk was a solid number 2-3 on the list for the last few years. They have to pay him for the merch they sell of him and they receive a bigger cut of it then he does. As long as it sells they will sell it. He probably can't sign with another company for 90 days or something like that. Even if he burned bridges, they have at least 3 months of milking to do. That's just good business.

CM Punk is way higher on the ladder than Jarrett, Carlito and Lashley. Now if you would compared Punk to Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, DDP, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and those types of wrestlers, then the argument would probably sound better.

I still don't entirely believe it. I think eventually he will get bored and the longer AJ stays on I think it increases his odds. He seems legitimately happier, but outside of the context of being a wrestler he just looks like a mid 30's guy who didn't grow up (just being a little judgemental, sorry). It's not like he's handsome enough to be a leading man in film. Maybe indie stuff or whatever. I am leaning towards him being done-done, and obviously he's stubborn enough to hold to it, but man this is the wrestling business--you just never know. He might still show up at an ROH thing a year or two down the road. He also said "i am CM Punk" not "I am Phil Brooks"

I highly doubt the WWE lost any fans due to Punk leaving. You can count me as a fan they lost. And I'm sure Vince McMahon is losing sleep over it every night. lol And, you'll be back. They always go back.

He will be back down the line maybe 5 years from now. He gave us(fans) a great show all the time, it is his time to do what he wants to do.

I will say this much. I am sad he's gone. I hope he comes back one day, even if it's in a Lesnar type of role, though I doubt that he will ever step foot into a WWE ring ever again. But he looks a lot healthier right now than the last year of his WWE tenure, that's for damn sure. He needed to step away for a while for sure. It's amazing how much difference it can make being away for 6 months, he looks way better
