So it the time of the year where I have to get my annual car inspection. I recently had to buy a replacement piece of glass for my drivers side mirror. Well it ended up cracking slightly. I'm wondering if this will cause me to fail inspection?? Thanks guys.

Unless your state is wildly different, they are usually just checking for your cars emissions not cosmetic or practical damage.

Every state is different. In NH, any protruding cracks or damage that leave sharp edges will fail, as will cracks in any windshield that are larger than 1".

Your state forces people to get a car inspection?
In Illinois there is not mandatory car safety inspection, however I do know a cracked window will get you ticketed.
Here is an Illinois fact, In Illinois emissions tests are not required for your car, Unless you live near Chicago. Cook County, Chicago's county, and the neighboring counties all require vehicle emissions tests. Not the rest of the state though.

You should be alright. Usually they just check for emissions here in Ohio.
