My answer was HANDS DOWN Resident Evil. Check out the new episode and see if you agree with us. What movie did you have high hopes for that turned out to be a pile of sh*t? Thanks for watching.

Superman Returns. I loved it in the theater but later on when I rewatched it, the movie was terrible

I've said this three times already but I'll help you out and give you a bump man haha. Mine would have to be the Green Lantern movie. I had high hopes, even after Reynolds had been cast. The universe is so expansive and there are tons of interesting characters, neither was utilized within the movie. The best part of the movie was the Sinestro cliffhanger at the end but it was just terrible.

The Dark Knight Rises. When he made it out of the prison and managed to get back into a locked down Gotham with no explanation, I just wanted to walk out. If it wasn't the final movie then I definitely would have. Amongst the steaming pile of crap that it was, Bane was the only good thing about it.
I can agree with Gravity as well. Nothing happens in the movie, nothing at all. Again, I wanted to walk out (when Sandra started barking) but I held onto a slightest bit of hope that something may happen. Nope, nothing happened. It was just a two hour movie of nice effects and no story.

Vulgar and Drawing Flies. Thinking they were View Askew flicks, with the same guys, I thought I would laugh hard. I cried and cringed. Literally.

Superman Returns. I loved it in the theater but later on when I rewatched it, the movie was terrible Oh man, great answer. Unfortunately, I was told ahead of time how bad it was before actually watching it (in 2013 I finally thought it was time to experience the horror) and we actually talked about it on my podcast. That movie was SO long, and SO boring. Over and hour into the damn thing, my buddy and I were in the middle of a conversation, totally forgot the movie was even on. He turns, looks at the TV, then me, and says "Why are we even watching this? Turn this sh*t off." I've said this three times already but I'll help you out and give you a bump man haha. Mine would have to be the Green Lantern movie. I had high hopes, even after Reynolds had been cast. The universe is so expansive and there are tons of interesting characters, neither was utilized within the movie. The best part of the movie was the Sinestro cliffhanger at the end but it was just terrible. Hey man, I appreciate the bump, haha. Much like Superman Returns, the time is drawing near for me to experience how terrible the Green Lantern movie is. I loved Dark Knight Rises in theaters but I caught a few minutes of it on HBO a few months ago and I wasn't really liking what I was seeing. I remember reading somewhere that the original cut that Nolan and Co. showed to everyone was over 5 hours. I can only imagine what we missed out on and how cut and pasted his movie was by the time it hit the actual big screen. I didn't see Gravity because it looked really uninteresting to me. Glad I didn't waste my tine, because you and The Artist aren't the only ones who have told me its bad. Thanks for watching. Vulgar and Drawing Flies. Thinking they were View Askew flicks, with the same guys, I thought I would laugh hard. I cried and cringed. Literally. VPV Haven't heard of either one of those, but I'll take your word for it. x men origins wolverine. they killed deadpools character. I've yet to see ANY of the X-Men movies . I saw a little bit of First Class on TV a while ago and I was really not into it at all, despite everyone telling me it was really good. The Star Wars prequels by a longshot. I waited 15 years for THAT! OUCH. Hey, you can hold out hope that the new one won't be terrible. Even if they killed off the entire expanded universe. The Phantom Menace X-Men Origins Anchorman 2 Man, Anchorman 2 is a great answer. I wanted to love that movie, man. It was so uninspired and lame. I almost felt like the guys involved were saying, "This is it. This is what you bothered us for 10 years for. Here it is. Now leave us alone. Remember, you wanted this."

I don't want to agree with this but I do, I think for the longest time I've forced myself to love this movie despite its many flaws. It's been on HBO lately and I just can't get through it. I originally saw it in IMax at the midnight release and was so caught up in the "omg, end of a the trilogy! This is gonna be the best movie ever!" hype that I refused to acknowledge the flaws until recently and havr finally come to grips that it's the weakest by far in the trilogy.

The Blair Witch Project. I remember hearing really good things about it, and I love horror films so I was very excited about this film. But then when I went to go see it I was so mad. You basically see home video for the first 10 mins or so of the film. Just people walking in the woods. Then it turns to night and the screen goes completely black. You see nothing on screen for over an hour. All you hear is heavy breathing, some whimpering, some crying, some screaming, but always a black screen. Then at the end there is no pay off. You just see some guy drop a camera and we see a person, one of the group members (not a witch), standing in a corner as if they are under a trance and then roll to credits. There was nothing scary about the movie.
Im sure if you read the script it might make a cool read or even a scary ghost story, but even stories need an ending. The ending in Blair Witch was one of the first F.U. endings I can recall. To me an F.U. ending is when I sit and watch a movie for an hour or more and there is no end, like the writers were just to dumb/lazy to think of something to end the film.

People that didn't like 'Gravity' just really didn't get it..
If you didn't like 'Gravity' it just wasn't a movie for you.
Recently though, 'Man of Steel' was one of the most disappointing movies I think I've seen in the past 5 years.

Recently though, 'Man of Steel' was one of the most disappointing movies I think I've seen in the past 5 years. That's not a fair assessment, to say "someone didn't get it." SPOILER WARNING FOR GRAVITY, 3..... 2....... 1........The second I heard she makes it from outer ing space and back to Earth ALIVE I knew I made the right decision to not watch it. For me, a movie like that, which is supposed to be grounded in reality, having a plot point like that in it? Get the out of here. Not to mention at least 6 people I've spoken to have all told me the same thing, that there's no reason to care about Sandra Bullock's character at all. Here's a woman. She's in trouble. That's the whole plot? No thanks. I personally haven't seen it, so I'm not arguing for me, I'm arguing the point of the people I've spoken to about it.
I'm much more of a fan of movies where the story is driven by the characters. Story driven by plot bores me. If there's no character depth, who gives a sh*t.

I thought Gravity was ok. It wasn't Oscar worthy or anything. I enjoyed the dialogue, and the suspense of it. Mostly the special effects were top notch. I saw it in GTX 3-D and it was mind blowing how well the 3D effects were. It's not something I would want to watch again.

I'm much more of a fan of movies where the story is driven by the characters. Story driven by plot bores me. If there's no character depth, who gives a sh*t. I understand what you're saying. And honestly I'm the same way when it comes to characters.. I usually watch movies for the performance and the character development.. But I also love strong plot driven movies, so there's our difference.. Definitely not saying this was a 'strong plot driven movie' either.. Just a statement about me.. Anyways, the only reason I say people that watched it and didn't like it "didn't get it", was mainly because once I got around to watching it, it did nothing but made me think.. I mean non stop for about 80 minutes, the movie took ahold of my mind about and the unbelievably infinite outer space.. What if this happened.. What if that happened.. I literally was sucked into that movie within the first 10 minutes.. And I'm glad it worked out like that.. Not to mention I completely wrote off 'Gravity' when it first came out.. Had zero interest in it, thought it was a dumb movie with one character whom happened to be an actress I don't care about, and no plot other than "worst case scenario...IN SPACE". Maybe my statement was over the top.. But the movie itself made me look past the one character, worst case scenario, impossible science.. And made me think about the terrifying thought of space, and how fragile we are.

I'll just go with one of the more recent movies. "Her". I don't know what I expected when I went into this movie but it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I just didn't care for it. That and "Grand Budapest Hotel". I had high hopes for it and it just wasn't there.

Casablanca - I've seen 20 Bogart films & love him, but I don't get the love for this one - first of that era where I felt like I could feel the cameras & production equipment beyond the shot, where it felt like a movie set, where the lines felt cheesy...suppose to be such a masterpiece but I think it's terrible all around
Titanic - I hate the movie & winslet was unwatchable in this for me; cheesy movie that was said to be so great
Anchorman 2 was one of the worst movies I've seen & was not funny...so that's up there
Indy 4. while not a dreadful failure -only had flashes of what my imagination/creativity were expecting (it's half of a good movie but still disappointing)
Ghostbusters 2 was pretty disappointing with how perfect the first was - only flashes of a good movie
Avatar to a degree for the story being so recycled & unoriginal - took me out of it even though it looked nice
