I have often wondered how this will be accomplished.....will they use stock footage in a minor way perhaps? And the first moments of the movie are Thor/Heimdall discovering that Odin has been replaced? Considering Marvel has signed people to multiple films, maybe they'll just tell Hopkins tough crap, you need to come in for three days of shooting and then we'll let you go.

I'm inclined to think MS was prepped for this contingency. Nothing concrete just a feeling I have......

He does say that, but that's like 90 seconds after he literally destroys every single suit he's ever built, and I saw the arc reactor surgery as being symbolic that he was retiring so he could keep Pepper out of harm's way. Even if it isn't meant to have been implied, I don't see any other way to interpret that ending. I don't have a huge problem with it or the beginning of The Avengers, but couldn't they have had a five-second line to bridge the two movies? Is the last line of the movie not something along the lines of "One thing that will never change, I am Iron Man." I'd say that's a pretty definitive line that shows he is not hanging up the suits so to speak.

Well it's time to interpret the end of IM3 differently man!! Lol!! It was crystal clear to me that he was getting back to basics and shedding everything he didn't need. Building all these suits were a symptom of his mental health. He done them as a therapeutic tool. After watching AOU it was obvious to me that he moved to New York and started over.....took a break and when hill rang about the sceptre? He decided the time was right to return to action. Don't forget Hydra killed his parents..... Maybe it's because I knew Stark would be in Avengers 2 that this retirement craic never occurred to me.....but honestly that never came into my mind.

I really hope so. After seeing the trailer, it's the one thing I'm really hoping for as they've nailed everything else perfectly.

Wolverine in Deadpool would be great so I hope that ends up being true.

Got around to Age of Ultron last night. It had it's moments but it wasn't half as good as the first one nor as good as the last handful of Avengers related films. It was odd. Adding character depth in places it didn't need and the comedic relief was hit and miss.

It seems as though Mark Ruffalo has been confirmed to appear in Civil War.

It seems as though Mark Ruffalo has been confirmed to appear in Civil War. If this is true its a mistake to do it. Hulk needs to be left alone now......and have him return for Thanos in Infinity War part II. Unless its a video chat or some flashback sequence that is.

I just want a Hulk movie, so many things they can do. I really want to see Joe Fixit, and the idea of Savage Hulk/Grey Hulk/Banner being split personalities, bring The Leader or use The Maestro as villian, they arent using the true potential of Hulk´s character and his mythos.

I think their strategy is to use Hulk as a special attraction man....and I gotta say its something I support. I LOVE the Hulk but find myself VERY lukewarm on the idea of a Hulk movie at the moment. But I am marking out at the thoughts of the returning Hulk being set loose on Thanos after he wrecks Starks weaker Avengers in IW1. If they do do a scene where banner tells Scarlet Witch to "turn him off" and unleash the full Savage Hulk(like they did in the Onslaught story with Jean Grey) man I would leap outta my seat.

Was it ever revealed who Martin Freeman will be playing or is that still up in the air?

I'm not sure a Hulk movie is such a great idea, it's never been done that well before. I did enjoy Norton's portrayal but the film itself was not so hot.

Was it ever revealed who Martin Freeman will be playing or is that still up in the air? That's a really good question, I personally think he would make a great Norman Osbourne. People talk about Matthew McConaughey being a good Norman Osbourne, but I really don't see that working out.. McConaughey is an outlaw with a very distinct southern accent. He's not someone you cast as the evil CEO of a billion dollar company. If I had it my way, Martin Freeman as Norman Osbourne/Green Goblin. And Matthew McConaughey as StarFox.

James Gunn has recently answered a fan on facebook clarifying that The Shiar and Kang are held by Fox in the rights division.
Now the Shiar doesn't surprise me......HEAVILY intertwined with the X-Men(and always have been) but Kang definitely does......I presume its because he's a distant relative of Mr Fantastic himself Reed Richards?

Production for Deadpool has officially wrapped up. And Tilda Swinton is up for the role of the Ancient One in Dr. Strange.
