Lets get back on track here lads......talking about Chris"lost his sense of wonder" Nolan in this thread ruins the enjoyment & magic of the Marvel movies....kinda like taking a dump in somebodies Christmas stocking.
I was thinking about The Inhumans today.....and how important the casting of Medusa will be. Black Bolt cant talk....so she will be the main mouthpiece here as the Queen. man I'm gasping for this movie......read Silent War & Secret Invasion: Inhumans today and watched the FF 3 parter with them.

If all of Marvel's plans result in an on screen portrayal of the 'Illuminati', I will have a panic attack.. But today I learned Thanos has a son.. I wonder if that will be used any throughout the MCU.. I do think however that the 'Inhumans' will be a bigger risk than 'Guardians of the Galaxy' was.. They better have some top notch casting.. Still convinced Vin Diesel is Black Bolt. EDIT*** I just read through alot of the Marvel Wikia, and what the .. The comic's cosmic story is extremely hard to keep up with and understand. I haven't figured out yet if this is because there are so many incarnations of the Marvel Universe, or it's because they really wanted to make it that difficult. But it was ALL difficult to comprehend. Can someone explain to me why? Just why..

I dont find the 616 cosmic Marvel difficult at all.....its went through MASSIVE upheaval this last 10 years though that's for sure. The Inhuman's should be OK because IMO? they are already laying the tile for them in AOS. Also marvel gave GOTG Dummy runs on Spidey, Hulk and Avengers toons that did REALLY well with Focus groups. The Inhumans have received this "animated push" too and did really well. They just need to tease them and build them more than GOTG. As I have said....Medusa's casting is incredibly important.

What are the chances we see the Thunderbolts in Cap 3? I'd imagine they'd have to at least be mentioned. There's just too much to the story to do it justice in one film.

I don't think they will be mentioned at all.....I also think there is zero need for them. Just out of interest what makes you think that man? There is hardly any villainy out there in the MCU to make the team.

Even if you agree with Iron Man and the registration, it's hard to accept those tactics. I'd have to go back and reread it. Maybe I'm forgetting pieces. I guess I'm worried about pieces like the Thunderbolts, Punisher and Spider-Man will be left out. Years after reading the story, those are the pieces that stuck with me. But I'm still beyond excited.

I think you should lower your expectations a touch regarding the volume of stuff you will see in Cap 3 man.....Im expecting a VERY abridged version of the story(which I too love) and basically it just being IM vs Cap.....I dont really expect to see too many others involved. But hey I could be completely wrong here.I was with Cap 100% in 2006 and Ill be with him again in 18 months time. Cap is Irish American anyway...Im duty bound to support him!!!

I think it's more called Civil War due to the battle between Cap and Iron Man, rather than replicating the comics step for step. The underlying principles will be the same but to expect them to cram every minute detail of Civil War into one movie is unrealistic.

Yeah as big of a Marvel movie fan as I am, I am not seeing this movie. It will surely be a disaster and hopefully leads to the rights going back to the correct studio. The only property I'm really okay with not being with Disney Marvel is X-Men, and that's because they can really build a universe of their own with their unique characters, as cool as it would be to see Wolverine in Avengers. And most of the X-Men movies have been pretty good in my opinion, aside from the third one (haven't seen the Wolverine spinoffs). I'm mostly worried about Channing Tatum being cast as Gambit, but if it means more Gambit screen time, I guess I'm for it.
I would also like to say Benedict Cumberbatch for Dr. Strange should be interesting, though I view him as more of a bad guy after watching Star Trek. Really looking forward to the Phase 3 slate and future casting announcements as well.

Was just coming here to post about the Dr. Doom stuff...
I try VERY hard not to judge a movie too harshly. A whole lot of people squeak out a living working on these things, that have 0 control, get 0 recognition and go completely unnoticed...
But I have NEVER seen a travesty of a project shaping up as badly as this one is. Every single thing I've heard of it (short of Kate Mara taking part) is terrible. Just terrible.
It would have been cheaper for them to hand the rights back to Marvel, and forego this mistake. It's going to have to be a DAMN good trailer to get me in theaters, at this point.

You know I didn't think it'd be possible for there to he a craptier superhero movie than Catwoman, yet here we are with Fantastic 4.

Well done Trank.....your a sh*tehawk.
When Mara let it slip a couple of months back that Trank had forbidden the reading of comics/observation of the source material I knew for certain that this was a done deal for me.
But as the folks who support this wet brown bag of dogsh*t will tell ya "hey at least he is trying something different".....and he is. Because this is F4 in name only.

I read a theory that this new 'Fantastic Four' movie is a counter-reaction to Marvel Studios cancelling the comic books.. Attempting to destroy the franchise to the point of no return so when the rights do go back to Marvel, they have no chance of making a good dime off of the property.
