Just shy of his 91st birthday which would have been Friday. While he had a long career, for me I'll always remember him as John Hammond and Kris Kringle.

Pretty sure I've only ever seen him in Jurassic Park, but he was great in it. RIP

Very sad news, but he lived pretty much a full life. 90 years old is a tremendous age to live to.

I know he is legendary. Even though I mainly know him from Jurassic Park, that film had such a huge impact on my childhood and really my life in general that this passing is a sad thing to hear about.
RIP Mr. Hammond.

"Welcome to Jurassic Park!" has always been one of my favorite movie lines ever. Its so good, but he made it iconic. I only saw him in the Jurassic Park movies, but he played a role in my childhood.

God damn, Jurassic Park was always my favorite flick growing up and still is through it all. It's a true shame he's no longer with us, but he made it to 90. Huge bucket of win and a full life.

Apparently this has led to a mix up of people mourning for David Attenborough by mistake. and I just discovered that they are brothers which I did not know. I can understand the mix up though.
I didn't really know Richard Attenborough from anything other than Jurassic Park, and I haven't really watched that film properly either. It's a sad loss, but at least he lived to a nice age and has left a great legacy behind.
I will probably check out some of his films this week, it's sad when it takes the death of an actor to make me watch their work.

There was another war film I watched of his not too long ago was Guns at Batasi, which is a pretty good film too.
