We don't have one and this is a wrestling forum. Those people stay in shape for the most part! So I figured we could make a thread to give motivation, tips, and what you do. It's funny that my out of shape self would be the one to make a thread regarding health and fitness, but what the heck! Anyways, I'm about 5'10" and for some odd reason my weight fluctuates from 205-210 lbs throughout just a day. So, anyways I tried DDP Yoga for about a week and just quit. My room is small and that's really the only place I can do it. I am actually going to start doing it again starting maybe tomorrow. So wish me luck! Here's some early motivation for everyone.. LET'S GET OUR FITNESS ON FOLKS * Mod or Admin, please sticky this thread! *

I agree this should be stickied.
I'm 6'1 and about 180, and I really need to lose about 5-10 more pounds of fat, but it's hard when I have literally nowhere to work out and all my food is chosen by my parents. When I actually get to choose my food I try to choose healthier food though. My main weakness is Coke.

In. Former 330 pounder here. Made these for Reddit the other day (you can look harder on this site if you want to see my face). Current pictures? Eh. You don't want to see em. I just took a bunch of "before" pics a few days ago that I can hopefully laugh at in about 4-5 months. I've been somewhat depressed and prone to binge eating for a few months and am now above 230 at 6'1''. I would consider myself one of the more serious lifters here. That being said, I'm not nearly as strong as I should be for my size. Arms are way too small. I look like I'm in DYEL mode. I'd like to at least pretend I know what I'm talking about but I don't look it.

I literally do not know anything about weight measurements but I just know I'm 6'4" and I'm not exactly thin, I really want to get in shape and I should be joining a gym soon, more exercise and a better diet, I should be in much better shape this time next year.

Very good stuff guys.
I'm trying to figure out why people are so scared to show themselves on here.

I'll say something. I use to work out but I can't get the motivation to go to the gym all the time, so I quit going

As some of you know, I've lost 110 pounds by eating better and doing cardio.
Still, I'm a chubby bath turd, and need to hit the weights.
I guess I'll be posting updates. I plan on starting very soon.

I was a tad bit overweight the past few years. I took a fitness for life class at my college and they told me I was 10 lbs overweight so I had to loose that amount by the end of the semester. I did it by cutting back on what I ate, by rarely drinking sodas and eating things like chips, and started to drink a lot of water

In case any of you would wanna read my story - I'm 16, 5'4, 61 kg. I was fat, didn't even have muscle under my fat. I was so fat I was never able to feel my abs but I didn't really care much about it. Started hitting the gym on July 22nd 2013 few days before turning 15, just because it was the latest trend in my school and a friend of mine introduced me to Jeff Seid and the aesthetic bodybuilding world. I only went like 5 times, and right after, I always used to have royal cheat meals (Pizza Hut, Coke, Oreo etc.). Later in Sep, I started doing a few push ups and crapty 8 mins abs but that wasn't enough because I wasn't on a diet and I was not very serious about it. On December 24th, I finally started hitting the gym. No real diet yet, but I did some cardio and some machines. I didn't know much about it back then, I used to just use any available machine and try to hit all the muscles the same day. Even though it was not clever, it started paying. I of course took a break from Jan 24th till March 3rd when I ate all so much junk and stopped exercicing. and that's where someone told me I should work by muscle groups. Looked up programs, and started lifting. I hadn't done any bench pressing or any free weights exercices in general before. I used to throw in Passion4Profession's 15 mins INSANE ABS after every training. Two months later doing the exact same program (yes, my bad), I got ripped. My gym subscription ended and I felt like I didn't like my gym. To not waste time finding a new gym, I got back to the Passion4Profession videos but picked the insane workouts. I was loving it. I used to workout everyday unlike the gym which was only three times a week. I also used to do Bar Brother's Fat Burning routine before every session, and man, those are awesome. At this point I already wasn't fat anymore, I just didn't want to jiggle not even a bit. I've always believed in 'If it jiggles, it's fat' - Arnold. Saved some money and bought myself a doorway pull-up bar and dumbbels. I was hooked. Unlike what I read on the net, bodyweight exercices worked better than lifting for me and the gains were real. To mention that through those three months (March-May) I was on a real diet. Green salad, chicken breast, rice, water, oats. I was over junk food, and could easily resist the need to have it. Unfortunately, it was late May and exams came in the way. Didn't have time to workout, and slowly started eating junk again. Stopped working out for about 15 days without dieting, the loss was heavy (well, to me). Tried getting back on track again, worked out like 3 times, stopped, and kept repeting the same scenario all summer long. I've lost so much muscle and my bodyfat went up to like 12-11% when it was around 8-7% (I used to do HARDCORE cardio everyday, like an hour, I was so addicted with being lean af). I planned on changing gym, getting some supplements and starting clean again in mid august. but I ended up taking MMA/kick boxing class for self defense purposes. The HIIT of 40mins this intense isn't helping either so I burn a lot. Now I totally lost motivation for doing everything, I skip my MMA classes, I can't get ed eating healthy. I still workout whenever I feel like, I'm not fat or anything though my abs are flat from not hitting them, but I hate myself for that. Looking back at the pics I took earlier, I can't believe I got to that point because I was too busy being hungry for more, and wasn't even satisfied with where I had got to. Pics - *last pic is from this week* For mates who believe that big brains are important but not as important as big gunz - I have crap loads of pics of both fat and SHREDDS but that's useless because I don't look like either now... My next goal is to get big cause even when I'm shredded, I look small wearing something. Also, someone please sticky this.

I got some great news yesterday. After having a shoulder surgery January 30th, I was medically cleared to resume normal activities, including weight training. I've been able to keep my weight under control with a lot of cardio, as I'm still training for a 5K at the end of September. My target weight to maintain is 165-170, but I weighed in today at 164. At my peak, I'd prefer to not be over 175. I've cleaned up a lot of my diet, no candy, potato chips or ice cream, but I've still got some work to do. I've got to call my doctors office on Monday & get my weight training workout, so I'm looking forward to using something besides a treadmill.

Great idea on this thread by the way. Working out has been a lot tougher the last couple weeks with all the overtime I'm putting in at work lately.

I was 210 pounds in 2011, lost 60 pounds in 6 months, dropped to 150. Did it too quick, got sick and took a month to recover. Maintained my weight until recently. I'm around 190 again, feel crappy and fat! I just got lazy and started eating crap. I'd like to lose back the weight.

Wow my first post in here was quite self-loathing. Well, two weeks later I have somewhat gotten my eating under control. I've lost a (mediocre) 2.5 lbs in two weeks and have reduced my binge episodes. At least I'm not gaining weight anymore. Time to 100% legit actually for sure for real actually start cutting. I'm super super cereal. It's getting hard to fit my Chris Hero muffin top into most of my clothes. Mirin. I'm trying to figure out why people are so scared to show themselves on here. (sigh) All you had to do was go to the Gallery of the Gods thread Aw shucks might as well leave this here since there are pics of my face floating around. (old wrestling costume that I used in a theatrical show, Damien Sandow-inspired)

Good to hear, I've had both my shoulders operated on and the time following the surgery was critical in terms of maintaining a healthy intake while activity was at a minimum.

My family is about to move, and the new house has a garage connected to the bedroom I'd be in, and my parents said I could use it so I'm going to use it as a home gym. Now my problem is just that all the food in the house is utter crap health wise.

I tore my labrum, broke my capsulary, & had to have my bicep shaved down. I wish there was a good story to go with it, but there's not. I'm a photographer & just continued to overwork it until it blew out.
