A thread complaining about people who complain in threads. This forum, man. Lol and then you complain, seems like when you see an image on tv, and inside that is the same image, and so on and so on and so on until the image is so small we cant make it out anymore.

I think some of us would just prefer if it was spaced out a bit better.... My stores have been relatively empty since February..... I've gone in plenty of times with some extra cash, and walked away empty-handed..... feeling also like I wasted my time. Now, I'm wondering how I'm going to scrape the cash together to buy all the E29's, E30's, Wyatt 3-Packs, cool Battle Packs, and other new Basics (El Torito, etc) & stuff that are coming out seemingly all at once; And I also should be spending my money on Christmas presents for others... So now cash is going to be a little tighter - and there's lots of new Mattel stuff to choose from! Where was this stuff all year? I can't tell you how many times I stopped at multiple Wal Marts and found empty pegs.... same for Target, and K Mart's mostly just had older stuff. In the end - I'll now have to select which figures I want to buy - but if they had been coming out steadily all year - Mattel probably would have gotten more out of my wallet.... I think that's the issue some of us have.... the distribution is very sporadic. I think we can all agree that Mattel's distribution leaves a lot to be desired. Really the only decent thing Jakks may have done better than Matty.

My shelves are full because Mattel over saturated my area with E28 and the kids don't want HHH or Big Show. NY shelves packed with SHow, HHH, Henry and Punk

I despise the emptiness of the pegs for weeks (and in the case of the Target down the road from me, months, April to be specific) but I have to guess that toys aren't a priority, and many store's department managers order light because they'd probably rather not have a toy section at all. And they can have that opinion all they want, but so long as the section is there why let it fall into disarray? It seems to only serve to make your store look bad. If someone barfed in the corner of the store, would you ignore it because it wasn't in the middle of the floor in high traffic? No. Why would you want to have all these well-stocked grocery shelves and home goods, and electronics, but then you walk past a section that looks like it is perpetually in reset mode, because it surely looks like everything was taken down to hide in the back.

Before you bombard the forum with I can't believe so much is being released at once, please remember this happens every fall. Just like the four month drought that begins every calendar year. Mattel obviously staggers releases not because of Chinese New Year, but for the Christmas shopping season. Yes, there will be a lot of series striking seemingly at once, but this happens every year. Just remember the slew of releases hitting your brick and mortar in the next month or two when the shelves are empty this winter. Yeah I've never understood why it seems like Toy companies try to jam the shelves so far ahead of time, planning for Xmas. Then come Nov/Dec the shelves are so light. Then Jan seems like the toy store will be closing soon cause nothing will be on shelves. I just dont understand why they dont keep a steady supply of stock. I worked in a grocery store for years. When I saw we were running light on canned corn, for example, I would order another case. In a few days time the store would have another case on the shelves. With toys though it seems like the manufacture just sends what they have when they want, with out the stores input. Sometimes we see nothing on the shelf, then other times the shelves are jammed and they also have displays. Is a regular steady supply of product just an impossibility for toys companies? General retailers like TRU and Wal-Mart uses buyers to order the bulk shipments from the companies and then the distribution centers send the items to stores based on an electronic inventory system. The issue is how the buyers over order and under order items. The buyers go on the amount they can order, any special offers from the manufacturer or any special needs at retail. Sadly they just look at spread sheets and perceived value. TRU is now allowing managers to send a notice to the DC about single cases of items so long as they have it there.
