I would be down for a new attempt at the animated series, especially since I feel the Turtles reboot has gone so well this time around.

I think another animated series is a good way to continue the property.

Another thing about GB2 I always liked were the Slime Blowers. Nothing beats the Proton Packs but the Slime Blowers I thought were always awesome. I loved how in the video game it and the Pack were integrated as one tool.

Watched both of them on the new Blu-rays recently, both look amazing and GB2 especially looks great. GB2 has always been pretty modern-looking but damn does it look amazing in HD.

Just wondered if any of you guys who are about the same age as me remember when here in the UK we had the kids meal (I think it was Burger King) to go along with Ghost Busters 2 and part of the meal was a can of soda that once you drank it you were supposed to look inside and be able to see a ghost. LIke a dumb ass I lifted the can upside down to see the ghost and ended up with it in my freaking eye! My old man had a good laugh at my expense!
Anyway I love part 2, but I do prefer the first movie just slightly. I think it gets unfairly hated on to be honest. I know its probably already been said in this thread but if you want to see Ghost Busters III then you can as its already been released in the form of an amazing video game.

But the excellent TMNT reboot did lead to the confidence for the movie....which was hugely profitable. So maybe Sony should consider a new toon first?

I've got the game and played through it a couple of times. Very fun and I happily accept it as the third movie in game form. It'll have to do with the unfortunate passing of Harold Ramis

New Year's Eve is coming up at the end of the month, anybody planning to watch to celebrate? It's always been a tradition of mine to watch both movies every NYE to end the year. I know GB1 isn't set around NYE but I never watch either movie seperately.

The news of the reboot is terrible, it sounds like it'll be a disaster. If anything good is to come from it maybe GB2 will finally be more respected.

Wish I'd never missed this thread earlier. Not only is Ghostbusters II great and just as much fun in its own right, you'll see when the remake/sequel/reboot/cinematic universe/whatever starts getting pumped out, just how good it actually is.
Movies of this type are not made like not just the first, but the second Ghostbusters anymore.

It'll be interesting to see how the second film will be perceived when the reboot is out.

New Pro-GB2 Article. Thought I'd share that. Very enjoyable little read. For the most part I think this guy is pretty spot-on with his assessment. There's a part of me that wants the reboot to happen and be a failure just so that GB2 will be better-received, and I see it happening.

Images from the set of the reboot are out now. Ugh, it's looking even worse than thought. The new Ecto-1 and Proton Packs look okay I guess but the new uniforms, ugh. If anything good comes from it it'll at least get a new generation of fans to discover the original two movies and GB2 will probably finally get a good turnaround.

I have no issues re-booting Ghostbusters with an all-female cast. One positive about re-booting classic franchises is to bring newer generation of movie goers to seek out what started those franchises. I don't understand the hate for Ghostbusters 2. I did hear Dan Aykroyd is going to be in the re-boot. I am one of the few that is going to give the re-boot a chance. Who knows how it is going to turn out to be.

It reeks of another unnecessary remake of a classic to me.
