Macho Man or The Giant?
I recall Bret and Hogan vs. Piper and Savage from GAB98 but did they ever wrestle one on one? I know they had little time together in WCW.
- Savage was injured in June 98 - When he came back in mid 99, Bret was injured - Then when Bret came back in Fall of 99, Macho was gone again.
Also same with Giant, most of the time they were both on the nWo side if recollection serves me right.
Seems like these would be two big matches that WCW missed out on. I didnt get cable until after WCW folded so I never saw Nitro or Thunder so maybe someone that watched regularly knows they fought on one of those episodes?

August 3, 1998 – Nitro: Scott Hall and The Giant defeated Sting and Bret Hart.
That's the only televised match Hart and Giant had, no one on one confrontation.
I only found the one match mentioned above between Savage and Hart, not counting their one WWF encounter at SNME.

Should have done between with them in wwf and wcw in my opinion. For the record they also had a couple of matches in wwf in 94 - one after mania 10 and in Japan in July(ish) Both of these are on youtube - although they are fan cam matches and not the best quality.

WCW Slamboree 1998 for Bret vs. Savage Yep. Hart won at Slamboree and the next night Piper (who was special ref) reversed the decision and disqualified Hart. It was a usual WCW cluster .

I am a huge fan of the Savage vs Hart match from SNME in '87. It was such a great match that it made me a Savage & Hart fan for life. They're still two of my top 3 favorites of all time. I recommend it to anyone with the network or free time on YouTube.

Such a shame we never got Hart vs:
Jericho Rey Mysterio
or a weird one for histories sake, Shane Douglas.

Great selling from Savage and Bret impressed em as a Heel here in probably his biggest one one match of his career up to that point. Thanks for the link.

Speaking of Bret vs. Savage - here's a match they had in Japan in 1994 on a WWF/WAR show. To my knowledge, the show was not taped by the WWF and they don't actually have the footage so this handheld is the best we're gonna get.

Didn't Macho Man have a lighter touring schedule than others on the WCW roster?

Had not watched that for years, awesome match. Great selling from Savage and Bret impressed em as a Heel here in probably his biggest one one match of his career up to that point. Thanks for the link. Here's an interesting fact about this match. Even though Savage had to sell an ankle injury in the match, Bret legit rolled his ankle and had to fright through it during this match. So Bret was the one who was actually hurting here.
