I've grown tired of silly usernames, so I changed over to my real name. I know a couple of dudes here like Brad use their real name. Anyone else? Why use a fake name, anyway? I didn't think about it until recently. People writing into my podcast asking questions to "Valo" and I was responding just felt weird. |

Brad is a good example. Actually saw your username on Super Card a while back. My name isn't nearly as cool as "BFG" or any other catchy assimilation of letters. It's just weird for me. |

I'm Jason all damn day. Here I'm marino13, and it's kind of an escape from daily issues. Jason may have had a awful day at work, but marino13 is ready to BS about wrestling. Jason is getting back surgery in a few days, but marino13 is excited for Night of Champions. I kinda like being marino13 for awhile.
Hope that makes sense.

I don't use it as a user name, but it wasn't really a secret either.
There are probably dozens of reason why people wouldn't use their real name. Anonymity is probably the main reason. Fantasy. An added way to represent something you like. Years of training (all the fake names you pick for games, emails, Xbox live, ect.). It's more fun. Branding--Valo is more memorable than Ian.
That's just off the top of my head.
