So according to some weird rumors WWE apperantly offered the former Goalkeeper Tim Wiese(32) a WWE contract... I guess because he posted this Picture of him self a few months ago xD

Someone please enlighten me as to why WWE has a sudden love affair with the Germans. Is it because they won the World Cup? I'm all for diversity, but this is a head scratcher.

Tim Wiese is a national hero over here. He's like the German Chuck Norris so I'd love to have him in WWE. I still remember when he was a very promising goalkeeper back in the early 2000's. Quite the transformation he's had since then.

To shed some light on thsi:
My Grandfather told me about this today, since he is a big football/soccer fan and we used to watch it together, and as soon as he told me about a german goalkeeper now wanting to become a wrestler, I was like OMG THAT MUST BE TIM WIESE!
And I was right! It's in the News in Germany and Luxembourg, so it's not that of a false rumor...
For those whowonder who he is: He was goalkeeper for a german club and also played for the National team a few times. The last time he played regularly was a year or two ago, his club and the DFB (German football association) banned him (sort of) because he became too muscular and too big for the fitness and game tests...
He was not that bad as a keeper, so I'm interested in how this developes!

Well he looks like a wrestler and has name value, so I don't see why not send him to NXT and see what he can do.

That'll be 2 former goalkeepers in NXT, if he joins. Stuart Tomlinson, an English goalkeeper who played for Burton Albion and Crewe, is in NXT as Hugo Knox. Don't think he has had a match of any kind within NXT. Surely a new tag team?

I'd choose Wiese over Sarpei any day of the week though. I was exaggerating a bit. However he's quite popular right now. In my circle of friends there's a Wiese comment every day.

I think there is still a place in today's wrestling for big muscular wrestlers. Not everybody on the roster has to be six foot and in kick-pads.

if this was the early 90s, he'd be saddled with a goalkeeper gimmick having him come to the ring with big gloves and his finishing move would be a cross-body press - get it?!

If true, nothing more than a publicity stunt after Germany winning the World Cup. Football fans will lap it up though.

That picture is weird and grosses me out. Probably because of how pixelated it is.
