Steve Austin said in a recent episode of the Steve Austin Show that he’s prepping for a return to the ring. Austin mentioned during the podcast, “I’m trying to get back into shape for a comeback.”
Austin has previously said that he’s working out and getting in shape, which as reported last month led many from within WWE to suspect he was training for an in-ring return. It’s been rumored that he could return at WrestleMania, but there’s no evidence of that yet.

There's nobody in the WWE I actually want to see him face currently.

I doubt Austin will lose to someone unless it's a veteran superstar. Whomever he faces doesn't have to win to have their career skyrocket. Just having a good back and fourth match with him will do absolute wonders the person.

Ugh, I wasn't planning on going to WM this year, but I'd love to see Austin compete one more time. Save it for Dallas!

i can't really imagine him in the current wwe climate, but obviously him going against the authority could be interesting. i'm hesitant on the whole thing, but it will be cool to see him back.

Heyman has been pushing for Brock for Austin and Austin doesn't seem too against the idea. Match might be decent but the build would be epic.

Austin dosent just have one more match left in him but he has an entire run left in him.
And it needs to happen.
His story hasn't ended yet. He needs a proper final run.

There's absolutely zero chance he's just screwing around, right? I'll take this with a grain of salt.

The only person Austin should come back to feud with is CM Punk. And that's not going to happen, so he shouldn't bother. I have zero interest in seeing Austin vs. Cena, and god forbid Hogan get the idea that we should see the two of them fight.

If Punk intended on coming back at any point in the next 5-10 years, this would be the time.
Having said that, I don't see him coming back at any point in the next 10 years, if ever.

I'll take it with a grain of salt. I've been jerked around with potential Austin come-back rumors for the past decade. Even if it's coming from his own mouth, I'll believe it when I see it.
That being said, if he did come back, it would be an amazing day in my life. Austin was a huge part of me getting into wrestling when I was a kid. I wasn't old enough to appreciate guys like Austin back then. So if I get the chance to see my childhood hero lace up a pair of boots one last time, I'm 110% for it.
