Just finished watching this PPV in my archives, hard to imagine that is now 24 years ago!
And who should be one of the curtain-jerkers - Mean Mark (pre-Undertaker) vs Johnny Ace (pre-People Power). Undertaker with no tats, using the heart punch as his finishing move was so interesting considering what the next two decades would mean for this guy. Nice to see him walking the ropes even then.
The amount of tag teams on these cards are unheard of in this day and age. This card alone featured:
Steiners vs Doom for the NWA Tag titles Pillman & Zenk vs Midnight Express for the US Tag Titles Rock N Roll Express vs Freebirds Samona Swat Team (featuring a thinner Rikishi) vs Rotunda/Rich (before Michael Wallstreet and Thomas Rich I believe) Road Warriors & Norman vs Bigelow/Sullivan/(and an almost topless) Cactus Jack
Yes there were lots of shenanigans with Robocop and the Horsemen, but bless the Horsemen for being professionals and selling it.
Paul Ellering even was in the ring against Teddy Long in a hair vs hair match - which intro'd the "do-rag" that none of the commentators knew what to call it. Back then, Ellering was in a million times more better shape than I am today!
I also noticed the production value and how much these commentators f'd-up, Gary Capeta(sp?) was having a bad night on the mic. Watching this as a kid 24 years ago, I'd overlook all the mistakes, but re-watching it now really gives perspective.

I loved WCW in 1990 for the tag matches alone!
Midnights won the US Tag Titles at this PPV, and I believe Cornette was in a cage. I think they tried to relive the Fantastics vs. Midnights era from 1988 with Z-Man and Pillman.

I remember being a 12 year old kid being on the very edge of my seat for Luger vs Flair in the cage. I wish i could get that invested in most of todays product. The whole ppv was great IMO.

I loved that PPV. In retrospect the Robocop thing was dumb, but at the time it was pretty cool. Least the 13 year old in me thought so.

I loved this stuff as a kid. Although I was born 2 years before it transpired and watched it as the Monday Night Wars was in full swing. It was weird but cool watching two different eras at the same time.
And for what its worth, The Samoan Swat Team was one of the best names for a tag team ever.

I was disappointed even as a 13 year old to see them given the savages gimmick in WWF.
