I'd imagine this has been said countless times unless I'm the only one who is put off by this.. but wouldn't it be much better to spread the legs a bit more on basic figures?
I currently only purchase Elite figures, eventhough there are a lot of basic figures that I'd consider to purchase if it wasn't for their unnatural way of standing, it's like a woman with a skirt on sitting in chair keeping her legs together not to show her underwear... I really don't get why they're molded in such a way. If you put them in a slightly more spread way they'd look much more natural.
So I'd suggest changing the leg molds on the basic figures to make them look more natural.

Yeah the legs make basics difficult to do much with.

A new leg mold that doesn't connect straight up would be nice, but I wonder if the issue has more to do with the boots. The basic boots that don't bend side to side at the ankles wouldn't stand right. They'd have to use the nicer elite boots with the bending ankles. Either way I feel your pain, man. The basics look so "off" with the current legs.

Some are ok, some aren't, yeah, spreading the legs more open (no pun intended) would be better.

I simply don't buy normal basics eventhough some I'd really like if their legs would be better (for example the recent flashback Triple H).
The only basics I own are Entrance Greats, and honestly I've stripped them from their attires and put them on elites.
For example: I removed the attire of The Rock entrance great and put it on the recent RSC Exclusive Rock. (same headsculpt, etc)
The basic is just laying around now, you can't propperly display it, it looks so weird. I think a lot more 'collectors' would consider buying basics if they sorted this leg issue out. And I also think kids would enjoy playing with them much more since they would actually be able to do a... piledriver? Or any move that requires minor spreading of the legs (no pun intended).

I'd probably add in basics to my collection if it weren't for those god awful legs.

In fact I think that in some cases it does their torso a lot more justice. But those legs... I simply can't live with them, they're soooo horrible! I don't even get why they are the way they are.. I mean, as a kid, it completely limites their playability I'd imagine...?

Basics in general have unnatural poses (back too straight, narrow stance, etc.), I would definitely like to see some improvements. Considering we are 5 years into the line, I don't feel it's too much to ask for. To date, there are only a handful of basic body figures in my collection: Divas, Entrance Greats and Tommy Dreamer.

How do you stand? Bow legged and slouched over?

I have a quite a few basics in my main collection; Mr. Perfect, Entrance Greats, Heritage figures, etc., and the only issue I have with them is the way they stand. It's like one leg is shorter than the other and they are always leading to the right. Improved legs would make basics incredibly better.
