Mods, if you feel the need to move or delete this due to content, please do so. I'll apologize in advance. I was helping a co-worker carry a heavy wooden crate. I failed to see the roll of carpet behind me & fell. My finger got smashed between the crate & metal grated steps. Before:  At the clinic:  5 minutes ago:  I now have a Frankenfinger. Let this be a lesson to some of you- be aware of your surroundings while moving heavy stuff. |

Never seen anyone with a similar finger injury, ill have to share a pic when I can, mine was when I threw a glass chip and it cut out the finger print part of my finger pretty gnarly

She was left handed (don't know if that makes a difference) & hadn't done much stitching yet. I was just happy that she got the bleeding to stop. I go back tomorrow for a follow-up, then back in 8 days to get them removed. |

It will heal and probably leave a not so pretty scar. I also have a not so pretty scar thanks to an intern on my leg. Luckily a finger or leg is not that visible.
