Well, it's been over 6 months, does anyone else still feel shocked about ultimate warriors death?

I still have one of my favorite Warrior quotes as my timeline pic on Facebook as well as the Warrior "Always Believe" as my phone wallpaper. The only passings that shook me up more was Eddie's and (at the time) Benoit's

The timing was weird. That's for sure.

His passing will always effect me. Any wrestler I watched that has passed has stayed with me. However, Warrior, Eddie G, Mike Awesome, Macho Man, Bam Bam, and Hawk are the ones that nearly brought me to tears.

I remember I was at school, in maths class checking Facebook while me teacher was changing something on the board and I saw the post by WWE "We are saddened to report that Warrior has passed away." I dropped my phone and just said what over and over again.
It has to be the most weirdly timed death ever. Hoping his family are doing a bit better now.

I remember when I first came here, and saw the post about him dying, before I went into the thread, I thought it was just some kinda joke thread, I wasn't expecting to see it being about him actually dying. The timing was definitely a shock. At least the silver lining in the tragedy, was before died, he was able to mend a lot of the relationships that had been damaged throughout his career, and he was able to be alive to accept the HOF induction.

Not really. I still think that if it wasnt for the timing it wouldnt have been much bigger (media/wwe coverage wise) then say when Savage died.

Was actually just thinking about this tonight when I watched NXT... It's still so bizarre to me that the guy died so soon after returning to the global wrestling scene... It was like he finally made peace and then it was time to go.

I was stunned, mainly because I just saw him on RAW the night before. I honestly thought it was a joke at first.

My brother texted me and told me and I was like holy crap...it was sooooooo weird seeing him just the night before on Raw as well as on the Hall of Fame and WrestleMania XXX. I remember hearing that Macho Man passed away back in May of 2011 and I ended up finding 2 of the DM Macho Mans at Target and ended up buying both of them before someone else got to them. So far the only ones that have really impacted me are Eddie, Benoit (even though he was a scumhole), Macho & Warrior since I grew up watching those guys every week on TV.

Nope. Not really... I mean, it was weird timing with all that had happened and his speech or whatever... I guess I'd have been more shocked or moved had I liked the dude.

The thing about his death was that Hollywood really couldn't have written it better. It was as if someone said to him, "Dude, make this weekend count because on Tuesday your time is up". I was surprised by it because he was just on Raw for the first time in forever, but I found it to be one of the more fitting wrestling deaths in the sense that it wasn't a suicide or someone long since forgotten about going quietly into the night with little coverage. Dying fifteen years from now with people saying, "What? I thought he was already dead" would just not have been The Warrior way.
That being said, I wish Macho Man was in the WWE Hall of Fame before he died, so you can't really feel too badly. I didn't see it so much as him dying as "Making amends with WWE level: unlocked. Life complete".

Anyone who says they weren't shocked is a liar.

I don't know if shocked is still the right word, but it's definitely something I still think about pretty routinely. I had my mom box up what she could find of my Warrior stuff from when I was a kid and send it to me. So I have my hasbro and Jakks figures, my wrestling buddy, and the cover to my notebook with him on it from when I was in kindergarten. I don't know if having the stuff out and looking at it helps the process or not but I think it's pretty representative of what he meant to me as a kid. I took the whole thing pretty hard, at least much harder than I thought I would since he's not someone I actually knew.
I think the problem was, beyond the fact that he's no longer with us, was that we were on this extreme high with him from the HOF and from Raw. So you start thinking about down the road, and more DVDs, and more stuff on the Network, and more merchandise, maybe even a match, and essentially a life where WWE and Warrior co-exist. But then he was gone. It was just all very strange and seemingly happened very quickly once he was back in front of the camera. I think in reality you have to look at what these guys did to their bodies and what that meant longterm. Being in great physical shape doesn't mean you're healthy.
Pillman, Rude, Owen, Eddie, Benoit, Macho Man, Warrior. I mean it hurts when it happens. We feel like we know these guys from watching them on TV. If you're a fan of a guy then you're connected to them on some level and you just can't help but be hurt when they're gone, at least I can't. It's just all part of life though. Thankfully, we have something like the WWE Network where those legacies live on at any given moment. So at least we have that kind of thing to remember them by anytime we want.

Yes of coarse. Never saw that coming.
You know, it's kind of ironic. Because he was often mocked & ridiculed for his rambling nonsensical promos. But his last words to the fans was perfect & beautiful in every way.

Time flies!
I never grew up watching him but I was still really sad when I heard he died. It was just a big shock since he was on Raw a couple days prior.
I have to say that his tribute video package is one of my favorites of all time.

Warrior's death was probably the hardest I've been hit by a wrestling death since Eddie Guerrero. It was just so sad that we all saw him at the Hall of Fame with his wife and his daughters, and just days later he passed away.
And then of course there was the stuff that happened after with Nancy Dis-grace, which was just stupid.
I'll never forget any of the energetic memories I have of the Warrior, no matter how much time goes by.
R.I.P Warrior Man
