I collect classic game consoles. I'd say I collect classic games but I don't have too many games for the consoles I do have (with the exception of the SNES, dreamcast, and original game boy) I have about 30 Marvel Universe figures, not really all that much. Probably have about 100 or so comics, really not that many. If you count digitally, I have a rather large collection of old ECW and fmw footage.

I used to collect a ton of things. Not so much anymore, but I do have a few things that I regularly look out for...
- Just about anything Bigfoot/Sasquatch related. Books, movies (decent ones), statues, figurines, photos, specials, etc... Anything really.
- Vintage Nude Photos. Only tasteful stuff from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Nothing too raunchy or graphic. More art than pornography. Unfortunately, originals from this time period tend to be kinda pricey, so most my collection is reprints, but that works alright for me.
- Muppet Stuff, especially Fraggle Rock. Anything and everything Muppet/Fraggle related. Only has to be unique, well-made, or fun.
- Battle Beasts. Love these little rubber armored animals from the late 80s. While technically I don't collect them anymore because I have a complete set already, there are three playsets I don't yet have that I'd like to one day.
- Classic Video Games & Consoles. Most notably Sega Genesis. Don't really have the money or space to get into it a lot right now, but I do have about 100 or so Genesis games (wanted to concentrate on that systems first because it was always my favorite).
- Vintage Books. Hardcover Western and Romance novels mainly, but anything that looks/sounds interesting. Gotta be from the early to mid 1900s or later and has to have at least 75% of the original dust jacket in-tact.

The only thing I kind of collect now is high end statues like Bowen or Sideshow Collectibles. I only buy 1 or 2 a year because they range in price from $150 - $500. I have a few Bowen busts, but I don't have the space or money for the full statues. Also, I tend to favor the off-beat characters like Fandral, Power-Man, and Titanium Man. I have a couple DC Direct Black and Whites; Lee Bremejo Joker and Paul Pope Batman. And three Kotobukiya statues; Invisible Woman, Scarlet Witch, and Wonder Woman. (really looking forward to the Zatanna!) ...I collect DVDs. I'm not even going to say a number because the number that it could vary by is larger than most people would believe I even have. I'll say it's too large to get an accurate count any more. HIGH five figures. I'm a movie guy. I have well over 700 Blu-Rays and counting (plus another 200+ DVDs or so, but I stopped buying those a while back.) I'm a pretty big film buff, but I'm not sure I can say I "collect" them. I'm sure just for movies I break 500 between Blu Ray and DVD (not counting TV shows, docs, and music). I do sort of go at it with a collector mentality though, cause I try to get the best versions of films (hence having several Criterion editions) or pretty cases, like steel and regular book editions. See, I also don't keep movies I don't like... so things I was luke-warm on or enjoyed once, but didn't want taking up space I sold. Maybe I could say I collect Westerns, because last time I counted I had over 50 and it's my favorite genre. I've been into comics for years, really got into them when the first Alien vs. Predator series was going on. I collect individual issues, I hate waiting for trades or collections. Knives I collect, because I feel that EVERYONE should always have one on them. You never know when you'll need it. A small flashlight too (I'm carrying a Streamlight Stylus Pro right now). I'm a comic guy for sure. I don't have a count on the amount, but I have 15+ short boxes worth of singles, and in the neighborhood of 300 trades and GN's. My comic collecting is very similar to my movie collecting. I don't keep what I don't like or want to store, so I'm sure if I never got rid of anything it'd be about double that. I don't really collect for any sense of value, so I get the format that is the easiest/prettiest/whatever. Things like superhero stuff I tend to prefer in singles, since I want that monthly fix and want to be able to read in real time (which is especially helpful in the case of crossovers and events). I tend to prefer non-superhero and indie type things in collections as they tend to read better that way and are more standalone and nice to pull off a bookshelf. However, there is absolutely no rule cause I have tons of indie stuff in issues and tons of superhero trades. On a slightly separate note; it's good to support the singles as that's what ensures series continuing and then even being collected at all. Also, I used to collect knives as a kid (oddly). I don't really have a collection anymore, but maybe 5 folders of various brands? And I always (pretty much) have one on me. I've always loved the Simpsons and recently my spark has been reignited. Bart's always been my favorite character and I dunno, feel a connection of sorts with him. I have quite a bit of figures and shirts and what not. The closest thing I have to how you collect Bart is Starscream. Mostly figures (like 50+ now?), but I have comics that feature him, and I had a custom t-shirt made. I collect classic game consoles. I'd say I collect classic games but I don't have too many games for the consoles I do have (with the exception of the SNES, dreamcast, and original game boy). Honestly, when it comes to gaming, "hording" might be more accurate for me, lol. I still have every console I've ever had. Which is a SNES, N64, PS1 and 2, Dreamcast (which I F'n love), Xbox1 and 360 elite, and a Game Boy Color and DS lite. Actually, I did get rid of my Game Gear at some point. On books, I don't necessarily go for old, but I do love Hardcovers, so mostly I will get all the Hardcovers for a series/author I like. So I have every Chuck Palahniuk fiction, all 5 Song of Ice and Fires, and the four Appaloosa novels. hehe, took a while to do all the quotes and responses in one post... nobody can fairly accuse me of trying to boost my count, lol.

I collect gargoyle statues and old movie posters. And I'm talking legit one sheets and not the overproduced copies found at Spencer's and the like.

I don't collect figures anymore but...
I collect pint glasses with logos from various micro breweries I've visited.
I currently have 15 glasses from Ohio, South Carolina, Florida and Canada.
Basically, if I go on a trip or vacation I make it a point to check out local micro breweries so I can get a glass for my collection. Also, trying the beer is a pretty good incentive as well.

My parents love antiquing, so I grew up going to flea markets and the like. The roadshow is where its at, man. And, like you said, chicks dig it too. So that's a plus.

-- I collect nickel coins from pre-1962
In '63, they started coating the coin with the nickel element, and the coin itself was no longer being produced out of actual nickel.
It's illegal to do, but if our monetary system were to ever collapse, I would intend to melt down this collection and re-solidify the nickel as 1 piece as that would hold a greater value when bartering/trading, than to offer a collection of 5c pieces.

Ticket stubs, CD's, and Ale-8 (mainly a Kentucky only drink) bottles.
I like music, so I collect ticket stubs and CD's for that reason. I collect the Ale-8 bottles because they're different from mainstream caffeine drinks, such as Pepsi, Coke, and Dr. Pepper. Plus it's a part of my state's history, and they're hella good.

I'm from Lexington, so it's EVERYWHERE since we're so close to the factory in Wincester. They even have Ale-8 salsa now, which is surprisingly good. Anyways, nothing can beat Ale-8 in my opinion. It's great.
