25 years ago today, the Berlin Wall, dividing East Germany and West Germany was finally tore down after decades of trouble. The Cold War ended and the time for peace began once again. Where were you the day the wall fell? Thoughts?

I wasn't born yet (I get the feeling that'll make a few people feel old lol).

I wasn't a thought yet. But clearly the historical impact: wow.

I would have been four years old at the time. Current events didn't blip on my radar for quite a few more years. I've always found that sort of cascading memory development interesting, though. My earliest memory, counting from which I can recall specific people and events, was the birth of my brother in 1988, and yet, I have no recollection of this event a year later. Just as a shot on the dark, the earliest "current event" memories I can seem to muster are the '92 Presidential Election and the Siege in Waco.

Here in Germany this day is obviously celebrated. For sure one of the best days in our history.
