Since you like Halo get the master chief collection.(they are having a bundle on black friday if you dont want kinnect but I highly reccomend a kinnect) I just got it and its amazing. I'm usually not one for rereleases but 4 games all redone in 1080p 60fps plus a full gfraphic overhaul of Halo 2 for the first time is really nice. Also to answer a question asked earlier, the reason I chose X1 over PS4 is I prefer the features. The cable integration and Kinnect are really nice and it has a very sleek interface. Honestly, name me one reason PS4 owners have a PS4 aside from exclusives? I can't think of one. It's easy to say that if you don't have the console and have no interest in it. I would have had the same closed-minded views but with PS4 over Xbone until I actually had both consoles.

I already own a PS4 game. I have every intention on buying one soon. But like PS3 I will only use it for exclusives as I dont like the interface as much as Xbox's (and yes I have played both, my friend owns a PS4) Sorry but for my needs the X1 features are better and aside from exclusives I honestly fail to see any reason why PS4 is worth having.

Reasons a PS4 is worth having (aside from exclusives): Most developers say it is more powerful than the One Most developers say it is easier to develop for than the One Playstation + is much better value than Xbox Live Gold in terms of free games More people have a PS4, and therefore more of your friends are likely to have one SharePlay is awesome The PS4's main features actually work outside America, whereas my mate here in the UK has an Xbox One and half of the cool TV features (Xbox One's most unique selling point) don't even work here I personally prefer the PS4's layout and controller Sony is a company with a clearly laid-out and followed-through vision, unlike the flip-flopping Microsoft who were forced to reverse their whole plan 6 months before the console came out I'm sure there's a couple I'm forgetting too.

Or you could go for a Wii U and have: - Free online. - Amazing, unmatched exclusive games, that will never, ever be on the other two systems. - Best controller out of three current gens, with support for previous controller types (including Gamecube and Wii). - Connectivity to 3DS. - Best, most user friendly menu UI. - Cheapest. - Backwards compatibility with all Wii games. - Amiibo. .

Okay, if we're playing this game...you could go for PC and have pretty much whatever you want minus console exclusives. Most Xbox games seem to be winding up there though.

Yeah, I still stand strong that the lack of backwards compatibility is a major pitfall for both systems. I love my PS4, a ton actually, but it's annoying I still have to have my PS3 setup. I just bought FF X/X-2 HD too, so it's not like I've completely moved on.
I haven't played XB1 yet, and I probably won't. I had both PS3 and 360 but I never really cared for my Xbox outside of Gears. Everything else was just more comfortable for me on Playstation. Plus, Uncharted and The Last of Us so...

I'd completely agree... if I had a few grand to spend on a top gaming PC. I didn't mean to start a console war, I just thought the guy was being a bit silly saying he couldn't see a reason to get a PS4 other than exclusives.

That is pretty much my point when it comes to people bragging about PS4's power and graphics. If that is really what you care about get a PC. You can buy a PC more powerful than a PS4 for the same price so aside from maybe some key features and exclusives what makes it the top gaming platform? I think pretty much everything is tied and its all preference based.

Yeah, to be fair, PC gaming is really expensive if you don't live in the US. Even for me in Canada I had to spend a little over one grand to get a good rig. ...We have taken this board so off topic. Probably scared the guy off, lol.

I think pretty much everything is tied and its all preference based. The PC is unobtainable for many due to its cost, whereas home consoles are far more affordable. So the comparisons I'm making really aren't including PC because they're almost unobtainable for so many people, including myself, whereas if they really want one and save for it the majority of people could afford a home console. So within that sphere the PS4's superior power does make a difference.

I had a buddy who lives in the states check out my computer when I first built it. he said the parts were good but it was about four hundred or so more than it should have been. He pointed me to the site he used to make his PC and the prices were right, but because I would have to have it shipped in, the shipping would have made it just as expensive. From what I know, most in the US seem able to get a decent PC at around $700. That's not bare bones or incredibly powerful or anything, just a decent one.

I bought a PC about twice as powerful as a PS4 for $500 for work. PC gaming's price is grossly overhyped. If you want to match current gen gaming its very affordable. If you want some over the top "master race" rig then yeah, it will set you back.

Like I said, it's expensive anywhere except the US, particularly in Europe.
