Just got back from seeing it, gonna refrain from spoilers because I don't know whether or not its alright to post them right now. I loved it, granted I tried to stop watching trailers if I could help it to try and not get my expectations to high, but I felt that it was amazing. The nods to the original, the nostalgia parts and even the ending was very well done and I think people will like it. The deaths were more brutal when you think about them and they showed alot more than the original did which surprised me. And the whole "trained Raptors" thing was more well done than I expected too. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard did a great job. I'd rank them.... 1. Jurassic Park 2. Jurassic World 3. The Lost World 4. Jurassic Park III Not sure I want to wait another 14 years for a sequel lol but it was well worth the wait IMO. They did a great job with the entire thing. Ill probably post more when others have seen it. They've already said it's supposed to be the start of a new trilogy, and Treverrow (Director) has already said he's not coming back for the next one. I don't think you'll have to wait that long for another JP I meant that more as a joke considering the time between JW and JP3. I read that though, hopefully the new director does as good as Colin did. I plan on seeing this on Tuesday. How the CGI look? Any practical effects like the original? I couldn't really notice any actual practical shots throughout the movie aside from a few scenes. The CGI looks good, somehow the CGI from the original still looks better than this one IMO but it was still pretty good.

Jurassic Park in general means a lot to me, as it does to most 90s kids. I remember finding my first T-Rex toy in Toys R Us after seeing the movie for the first time and being in awe of the movie.
Just got back from seeing the movie tonight...and I loved it. I will always hold Jurassic Park as my number 1, but this is a close second. The story made sense and it was nice after three movies to see a functional park and how things were. The I-Rex was awesome..almost like a super dino of sorts and she was awesome. I thought I'd hate Masrani, but he actually surprised me and had a few funny moments. The Raptor relationship story was also done very well. I remember the first trailer came out and everyone was going crazy thinking how dumb it looked, but at the end of the film it made sense and worked very well.
Needless to say I will be seeing this again a few times and getting myself a toy I-Rex to go with my T-Rex!

Looks a little too fake IMO.
When Derno-the-Inferno puts her hand on that Dino in the first one, and it breathes up and down, I was all like, OMG, dinosaurs are real!!!
When what's her name does the same thing in this one I'm all like, look, she has her hand in front of a green screen and there's a computer generated dinosaur breathing that's almost in sync with her movements.

I'm seeing it tonight. Do they look like real dinosaurs like the first one, cause i'm not a fan of badly done cgi.
Also will it be scary for a five year old?

Going tonight to see it in IMAX 3D. I'm really pumped. I watched the original last night to get myself ready.

Traveling two hours to see it in IMAX tomorrow evening. Gotta see it with my best friend, who, like me, had a childhood defined by Jurassic Park and dinosaurs in general.

This movie was absolutely fantastic. The negative reactions truly make me wonder if these people ever had a childhood. This was EXACTLY what a Jurassic Park sequel should be. The IMAX was amazing. This movie was entirely full of heart racing suspense. It was very unpredictable. Also the whole CGI/practical thing. Look, the CGI was great in this, who cares how the effects were done, if it looks good, it looks good and this did. The stuff in the trailers looked off but the finished product looks great. Easily the best CGI in the series bar none. Also a lot of people said it lacked practical, not really true. The movie had a lot of practical effects just they were done so well and so fluid and matched the CGI artwork so well you couldnt tell the difference. This was the most incredible theater experience I have had in 22 years.

For me it genuinely harkens back to the sense of wonder and awe that hadn't been present since the original movie y'know ? The last 2 movies had the rescue mission gone wrong vibe plus they were both set on Isla Sorna. This movie while similar to the first feels genuinely fresh and new while at the same time paying the lip service due to the originals magnificence.....and of course its on Isla Nublar where the first movie was set.

I'm seeing a lot of mixed opinions on the net, glad everyone here is saying they like it though. I'm hoping it's everything a JP sequel should be.

I thought it was awful.there is far to much talking in the film.apart from chris pratt the actors and the characters they protray are not very likeable. Those two kids added nothing to the flim. The flim is about dinosaurs yet they hardly have any in it.the new dinosaur looked weird. The cgi was bad.the flim totally lacked any charm. The ending was stupid.
Jurassic park=perfect
The lost world=great
Jurassic 3 = abomination!!!!!!
Jurassic world =disgrace! !!!!!!

That's all I can even say right now.

ing awesome!!! Seriously. As soon as I got out of the movie I took to Facebook to tell everyone I know. We're probably going to take my nephew now so that we can see it again. So much fun, so many unbelievable scenes, and I genuinely think it far exceeded my high expectations. Also, if Disney is going to move forward with more Indy flix, there should be absolutely no doubt, in anyone's mind, that Pratt is the man for the job, at least as far as I'm concerned. Guy is money, and awesome.
