Every time I had this problem (2, 3 times) I used the boiling water method. I made sure the water was absolutely boiling, maybe you didn't get it hot enough?

i never said i did it, i said i prefer not to use that method as to not melt my figures I've put literally all of my figures in boiling water for one reason or another (usually just switching to two weapon hands). I've never had one "melt."

Most of my figures never come out perfect when I open them. I put them in boiling water to help me fix warped legs, arms, etc. It's a useful trick.

To be fair, those transformers are totally different figures compared to an elite.
Just boil some water or use a hairdryer. I hairdryed my e31 Kane and now he can do the moonsaults he's famous for.

Just put it in a toaster oven. Your figures will be good as new.

The internet needs an IQ test to use it. It really does. Good grief.

Just put it in a toaster oven. Your figures will be good as new. The toaster method has always worked on my figures...especially the ones who aren't tan enough.

The waist is what is stuck, I'm assuming? That wouldn't be the chest joint. I've boiled many a Mattel figure. It is fine. I feel it is safer than the hairdryer trick. The first headswap I ever did was with a hairdryer and to get it warm enough I made the hair paint a little gummy. Meanwhile water has been safe for at least three dozen times, whether headswapping, loosening joints or fixing warped legs. Whoever melted a starscream figure with boiling water must be a real genius. Like they could probably figure out how to burn water.

Never had this problem. Usually my an joints are too loose. Booking water should do the trick though

the 2K15 2-Pack is a basic set. They don't have elite articulation. So there is no ab crunch. If you mean the waist joint...just put a little force in twisting it.

Not sure how you're doing it or thinking of doing it, but I would avoid putting any figures into a boiling pot on the stove. The hot water will not damage the figure, but if it touches the pot, you'll get a melted figure for sure. I used to do it like that, but nowadays I just heat up a small bowl of water in the microwave for about 2mins, then put the figure in.
DO NOT PUT YOUR FIGURES IN THE MICROWAVE!!!
I know it sounds obvious, but: internet. Anyway, it's a lot quicker and you don't have to worry about a hot pot damaging your figs. However, please note the "boil & pop" methods only work on soft plastic. It will not soften hard plastic which is what the torsos are made from. A stuck torso hinge is usually caused by one of two issues: the figure was incorrectly assembled or there is glue in the joint. The hot water will soften the glue enough for you to work the joint free. If there was an issue with the assembly, you'd have to crack the torso to repair it.
