Hey! So I recently got the Authentic Scale Ring, this thing is DOPE. It's a little bit big, but I think its great. It was very easy to put together, and I only really had an issue with the rubber turnbuckle pads. Considering I price matched it for $60, I'd say it was worth it. Now, I had watched a bunch of reviews before I bought it and I hated the fact that the ring canvas clipped to the underside of the black plastic base. That looked miserable, and I figured when I was posing and taking photos I'd accidentally unclip it. However, upon opening the box I noticed those clips don't exist. Also, the ring canvas now has straps in the corners. They strap underneath the corners where the turnbuckles go in. This is MUCH better than what I've seen in review videos/photos, however, I haven't seen any photos or videos of the new part. Is this a brand new change? I think this could perhaps sway some people into buying it who were once on the fence about it, because that issue with the clips was really the thing I was most concerned about. This makes it not only waaay more stable but it stretched it in a way so all of the wrinkles came out without any effort. It's flush, smooth, and I really dig it. I'm not sure when this change came about, but it's a great change and really improved the overall product. The only thing I wish is that Ring Aprons were made, I'd love to buy more. A Wrestlemania one would be radical.

Whoa, I'm glad I waited to buy it, cause now I want it even more, without those clips and that strap now. Woo!

hhhhmmmmm.....I am on the fence about a ESR. 22x22 just seems WAY too big for me, but with all these accessories wicked toys is making for it in 2015 makes me kinda want one. TRU has stocked them now? Could you give a quick review on this "new" version of it. Might have to drive over there one night after work to snag one.
Thanks in advance! This is definitely a HUGE improvement!

This is definitely a HUGE improvement! It is HUGE. I really don't have anywhere to put it, I underestimated the size of it (i.e. don't own a ruler). Currently it sits under my desk when I'm not using the PC and I throw it on the bed when I am on my PC. I've gotta make room for it eventually, it's just massive. As for a quick review, I don't have too much else to say that hasn't been said in the videos. The straps for the ring canvas made this thing AWESOME. The ring canvas stays flat because it's stretched. It's sort of like how a book cover works. I like that it's "authentic" to the point that the entire underside is pretty empty so I can put the weapons there for photos. I'm curious to see what accessories are made but I really don't think I'd get anything outside of a regular cage. I'd WANT a Hell in a Cell but it's too big as it is. I think the only real flaw I can find with it is that I wish the canvas was lighter. I also wish the turnbuckle pads had the new logo instead. I didn't get the clips in the package at all so I definitely think it's a running change.

Could you take a photo of the box you bought it in? This system looks a lot better.

I've bought the rings from the same TRU in a three week span. The first had the clips, second had the strap and tag ropes on the ring posts, the third had the clips.. strange

This one has tag ropes.

Hopefully that elastic band doesn't stretch over time and loosen the canvas

Hopefully the straps are better/stronger than the ones on the original Mattel elite ring aprons.

Good move on WCTs part. Those clips were always a strange idea. I remember they barely held and would, could not be centered on the side of the ring that had the base joint, and would fall off with play.

I need to email them and see if they can send me one of these new aprons. I feel kinda ripped off now that I have this horrible clip one that never ever stays on

If you don't mind let me know who this works out for you. I have bought 2 ASR and the new designer appears much better.

That definitely looks better than those plastic clips. I never used them for my ESR. I always used plastic clothes pins/chip bag holders/etc. I think most were clips that come off of clothes hangers actually. Mainly kids hangers, they have the clips to hold the shorts/pants on the hanger with the shirt. They were better than the ones that came with it, but still not perfect.
I have also seen people use the black paper clip things. I never tried them though.

When I received my preordered ring from RSC it was missing a turnbuckle cover and they got a replacement to me fairly quickly.
