- It was announced on Main Event that Edge and Christian filed a “multi-million dollar lawsuit” against WWE after what happened on RAW involving Seth Rollins and Big Show. Michael Cole promised that he would have an update on Friday's SmackDown. The announce team also said that they were contractually obligated to appear on Main Event www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/1231/588104/new-wwe-storyline-with-edge-and-christian/My question is, what is the point of this? To end The Authority again? As big fans of Edge and Christian, I really don't see a point to this storyline wise. Do you guys? Seeing that Edge and Christian invited Seth himself on the show, and can never wrestle again. Where's David Otunga when you need him most?!

Too much legal bullsh*t going on in todays storylines. This is wrestling, when you have a problem you fight in the ring. Only heels should go the legal route, if anything.

Lawsuits never have and never will ever draw. This is gratuitously stupid, especially since neither Edge or Christian can even wrestle.

If it keeps E&C on my tv, you'll hear no bitching from me.
I'm a poet.

It's also a shot at the UFC, some older fighters just filed a mutli-millon dollar lawsuit against Dana White and the UFC!

It's probably just being used as a way to ensure that no one else put their hands on Edge and Christian during Main Event (when they announced it) and Smack Down!, which they are (storyline) contractually obligated to host. If they didn't do something like this to cover their bases, what would stop someone else from using the same play to get what they want, like Ryback and more Cliff Bars for instance?

Their lazy writing recently leaves some sizable logic holes to deal with. Now, following in Seth Rollins' footsteps, anybody who wants a title shot (or anything for that matter) should just run up on Hunter or Steph backstage and threaten them at knifepoint instead of wrestling to earn it. And if you aren't happy about the way something happened, rather than settling it in the ring, just "sue" the company like Edge and Christian. Since they've opened this can of worms and brought the legal system into play, then at the very least Rollins has to be suspended, no? He threatened, then attempted, to kill a man on live television. Just dumb storytelling and totally unnecessary to begin with. Every offense ever committed during a WWE storyline has ultimately been paid for or avenged via a wrestling match. They have their own built-in system of justice.

Maybe Edge has one more match in him against Rollins and this is the start of the build?
I mean if Austin says he could go if he wanted to you would think Edge would be able to as well.

Might be a way for Edge and Christian to get a face authority figure (Sting?) to battle The Authority.

I don't get the point of doing this angle in all honesty.

If it keeps Edge and Christian on my screen then I'm for it.

I wanna say something like 'looks like Rollins is gonna sell out' but I got nothing.
Instead I will join in, this is lame and will make for a crappy 30 minutes opening segment on Raw.

This should lead to Christian beating Lesnar to win the title.
Wishful thinking never killed anyone.

Maybe they'll take over once the Authority is destroyed by Sting? To me, that sounds fan-freaking-tastic!
