Hello. I have Rowan and Flair DM that the joint where the stomach is wicked weak. I can have them hunched over and straight up but nothing in between. How do I tighten that to make it easier for them to be displayed?

My Rowan is like this as well, he can't even stand. And my flair DM's hip joint doesn't move. My solution was calling mattel customer service who gave me a $40 check

Just call the service number and tell them your fig is broken or super loose and all they need is a number off the bottom of the box. They will either send you a check or a voucher for any mattel product. It's really great of them

I've had the box on hand luckily both times so I don't know what they do if you don't have the box. I'm pretty sure the number you give them just identifies the figures so they know what product you are talking about

There's a small plastic spacer between the chest and stomach that acts to create a little friction between the upper and lower torso. Your figures might not have that piece in it. I've got a Sandow figure like that. Not much you can do about it other than a small drop of super glue on the vertical spaces between the chest and abs and then rock the upper torso back and forth until the glue dries. Just make sure to wipe any excess off the visible parts of the figure before it dries, otherwise it'll leave a white mark on your figure.

I actually found an ingenious fix for this by accident. My Legends Vader had a loose torso joint, so I gave him 2 coats of Model Master flat clear acrylic, and it actually tightened up the joint quite a bit! Hope this helps!

I got home last night and my Vader (who's torso was already CRAZY loose) his legs had some odd SNAP and I thought for sure I broke them. But now they are just basically a loose pair of legs hanging inside of the crotch piece. Like I can shake him back and forth and his legs and torso shake around like some maracas at a fiesta that is one of my favorite figures too totally gonna have to buy a THIRD one now. ing Christ Mattel QC. Step it up or I'm done.

Step it up or I'm done. I had this same problem (torso) with my E31 Vader out of the box. I managed to jam some electrical tape strips between the crack in the front of his torso to stop this. Had to do the same thing today with my HOF Austin, whose back part of the torso was the same way. It's terrible how my biggest concern when I buy an Elitr these days is whether it will essentially be half broken out of the package

For loose joints, I always do the superglue trick. Works on pretty much everything. Just a drop or two at a time into the loose joint. Then constant movement for about 5-10 minutes until the glue dries. Repeat as necessary until joint is at desired tightness.
Another thing to try is the little clear rubber bands jammed into any crevices possible to tighten up the joints.

I used to stick blue tack into loose joints.

I bought the DM Ric Flair here in the UK, contacted Mattel UK and was told to return the figure for a new one or a refund from the online wresting store I bought it from, so no free money here lol. I do find US customer services to be a lot better in offering things then here in the UK, different policies etc. I've no knowledge of US consumer rights though.
