Im not sure if this is new to everyone or not but I just saw it this morning and I was very excited. Basically it looks like Mattel is going to do what I suggest Jakks do years ago.
It looks like Mattel is going to give us a chance to create our own characters.
Thoughts?

I'm pretty excited about the concept. If it takes off I look forward to seeing what other kinds of packs they put out. Looks interesting for sure.

I'm excited about it, I can finally create staff members and ring crews not to mention the occasional created superstar.

Love it!! The King Patrick Star figure has to come with 6 shiny VAC Belts though. Is that going to be a problem??

with the create a wrestler and create a superstar lines coming is it safe to assume that the baf line is done with? ..personally I hope so....its been over a year since bearer hit and still nothing in the u.s...hopefully we will still get heenan and jimmy hart somehow someway...as a parent if my kid wants to build a kane figure I would most likely get him the 20 dollar create a superstar opposed to spending a 100+ on 4 figures to build a kane...seems odd that the baf and caw lines would be on the shelf together..to me anyway.

I love the idea of this, but it looks like the articulation is different. Like a hybrid of basics and elites? The upper arms look to be solid and don't swivel. The hips are elite, the knees are basic. At least the accessories look to be interchangeable with basics or elites as well as the heads.

all of them are easy passes. If they would have made Elite style figures and maybe given us some more generic yet realistic headscans that we can use as custom characters, Id be interested.
See you at Ollies & Big Lots create-a-superstar figures.

IT'S STOMP!!!!! Mattel stealing a page out of JAKKS play books It's more like Hasbro's Superhero Mashers... almost identical in fact. I like them... lots of Custom opportunities!

This is what I thought as well. I recently found some of the more popular characters (Spider-Man, Wolverine, Ghost Rider and Capt. America were the ones I bought) at Five Below (Everyone knows what that store is, right?) so they were only five bucks but I wouldn't pay whatever mass retail wants for them. These do look somewhat interesting and for me some of them will be easy passes while others I will most likely want. The lucha set is most likely what will be my first go at seeing what they're all about.

If they give us parts that we can actually make reality based figures from, I'm cool with it. If it's superhero crap then I'm not.

Only reason I'm picking up the Bray Wyatt one is to get the mask and apron for his NXT attire.
