As part of espn's short film Friday night series, they released the much anticipated short film. I have not watched it yet, and it is not available on iTunes just yet either, but there is a great clip from it on the Dallas news site and it's about Kerry's suicide. So, anyone else see it? I look for someone to make an actual Von Erich movie one of these days. I think it's awesome that Kevin is able to talk about it without being bitter.

I wonder if they covered any new ground that the Heroes of World Class and the WWE doc didn't.

From what I've read, it's all about Kevin's transition to a normal life now living in Hawaii.

I saw it yesterday at 3:30 on ESPN. Was about 20 minutes. Caught me by surprise, I was doing something else and heard the lady talking about one of the most tragic families in wrestling, I said the Von Erichs (wondering why they would be talking about them modern day on sportscenter).
It was about Kevin, but they touched base on all the brothers. A couple things I hadn't heard before, like Kerry calling him up telling him he was going to kill himself and how he was a piece of crap that didn't want to live and Kevin told him to think about his girls. Kevin driving there and by the time he got there Kerry had already killed himself.
Also that Kevin was going to kill himself also. He went into a gun store and was going to steal a gun and one of the people there said "love you Kev" and he changed his mind.
It shows how he and his family moved to Hawaii and how he is at piece with himself, and how much he loved his dad and brothers. Showed his son who is going to be a pro wrestler (he has a great look, bulky like Kerry).
Overall it was a nice unexpected bio on him. Wish it was longer.

I can't wait to see this, I still remember the piece they did on the Von Erich's on the current affair back in 93, that one did tell the story of how Kerry called kevin to tell him he wanted to kill himself, just a really great piece done, I hope this one is as good, if anyone finds it, pls let us know

Totally forgot all about this. He tweeted about it earlier this week...Ill have to see if I can find a link. It was on WFigs main page yesterday. Basically it was a condensed rehash of their DVD and stories he used to tell on WWE 24/7 from his home in Hawaii. I will say he sounds happy now, but I didn't think he looked very well. His neck was so thin for someone in their 50's it made him look very frail to me.

This documentary was filmed late 2013. So, maybe he wasn't well at the time this piece for espn was filmed.

An interesting watch for sure......such a tragic family Makes me sad just to watch it. Every time I think I want to watch a documentary on them, I get sad and realize why I don't watch them. I try to just watch their matches and stuff and relive the positive moments.
