Dawn of the Dead (2004) A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) Aliens Halloween (1978)
That was super easy. Nothing there for me to even think about and I absolutely love all 4 of these movies.

man that was tough......Love Dawn 2004 but when I think back I was way more scared watching The original Amityville(still find it creepy as hell)
The tension for the 1st time watching Aliens was unreal.....Jeepers Creepers was great? But it wasn't on that level.
Then Halloween and the Conjuring.....both GREAT. But again I remember my expiriences watching both.....The Conjuring was tough but I remember rewatching Halloween as an adult and it just edges it out.
If this comes down to Aliens and Halloween? Im gonna be in a quagmire!!!!

Ugh... that was pretty difficult. I'm still not even sure I agree with myself. The catch for me is that I think Aliens is the best movie on this list in terms of quality, but I also consider it to be sci-fi more than I do horror, not that it doesn't master both to perfection. So that's where it becomes difficult for me is breaking down which film I think is a better, purely, horror film. I don't know, it's kind of a coin flip. Any of the 4 could win this and I would agree with it.

Personally, while Alien is SciFi/Horror, I'd consider Aliens SciFi/Action...but can't really allow one without allowing the other, especially since it does have horror elements.

For some reason I always thought people hated Dawn of the Dead (2004), I have no idea why. Possibly because most horror remakes get hated on. I always liked it a lot. Glad to see it's made it so far.
