Hey everybody!
What was the actual first thing in wrestling you saw. Mine was a random nitro in 98, Kevin nash powerbombed sting and I thought it was the best thing ever, ive been hooked ever since.

I have two...
Barry Windham turning on Lex Luger to join the Four Horsemen
And
Randy Savage vs Ricky Steamboat at WM3
I watched a bit of wrestling before that, but once I saw those two things, there was no going back.

Stone Cold cost Bret Hart the WWF Title in a match against Sycho Sid on Raw in Feb. 1997.
It was the night after In Your House: Final Four.
It is also talked about here (cheap ass plug):

I started watching wrestling in 1990, but My oldest memory of wrestling was 1997. i was in Daytona, FL for the Turkey Rod Run car show, and in our Hotel, I was watching Monday Night Nitro. It was Rey Mysterio fighting Eddie Guerrero. I have been hooked my whole life!

I'm not actually sure. I remember my Dad putting on the "Undertaker: He Buries Them Alive!" Video all the time for me, and if I had a bad day or anything like that he'd tell "Austin's on tonight" which I knew meant wrestling was on. I've always been watching from a young age and never looked back.

It wasn't the first thing I saw, but I can remember Bret Hart winning the WWF Title at WrestleMania X being a huge deal to me.

I grew up on mid 90's wcw but I didn't get "hooked" until X-Pac showed up on raw the night after wrestlemania 14. Hearing Jim Ross say "Well, look who's back." Will stick with me forever. I couldn't tell you why THAT particular moment hooked me but it sure as hell did.

When Orton Rko'd Undertaker on Smackdown leading up to Mania 21. Thought Orton was the coolest guy ever and I wanted to see more of him.

I started watching at the end of 1999. Stone Cold and Undertaker were out due to injuries, so I didn't experience them live until later. It was the Triple H vs Mick Foley feud that hooked me. My first PPV I bought was No Way Out 2000, because I really wanted Cactus Jack to beat Triple H; but when Foley lost I teared up. I was never so emotionally involved in anything on TV as I was with wrestling.
Now after being a fan for over 15 years I'm building myself up to try and become something I loved since I was 11 years old, a wrestler.

Mega Powers exploding.....I was 9 and Macho betraying Hogan was just unreal to me. Then WM5....then Hasbros. I was hooked until 1993.....then on and off until 1997 and I was glued to it again until 2004.

I remember knowing the names Hulk Hogan, Iron Sheik, Big John Studd, Nikolai Volkoff, Junkyard Dog, Hillbilly Jim, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Andre The Giant when I was 4 and 5, but I don't remember anything from then that triggers my first real memory of watching wrestling.
I do know my first real memory was seeing Randy Savage crush Ricky Steamboat's throat on the guardrail and then the time keepers bell. That was November 1986, so I would have been 6 years old then.
My first NWA moment I got hooked on was seeing Barry Windham turn on Lex Luger and join the Horsemen. I was 7 years old then.

No honest idea, though it likely involved Undertaker or Kane.

cool thread idea!
Mine was Triple H hitting Umaga with the sledgehammer at Cybersunday a few years ago, I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Then I watched a few YT videos and bought SD!vsRaw08, saw Jeff Hardy, watched a few highlights on YT, and BOOM my love for the biz' was born haha

Kurt Angle vs Shane McMahon at King of the Ring was what really hooked me officially. Then Undertaker chokeslamming Jeff and Lita off the stage.
Then I watched Mankind vs Undertaker in the Cell and I was a fan for life.
